Hi, so i used fusee-primary to boot up on a working modded switch. I wanted to play mortal kombat but i got an error msgmthat said may have to update the firmware. So i downloaded 7.0.1 and proceeded to update the switch to that .im not sure if i chose exfat32 option, but it seemed to go through fine. I used choidujournx to update,it. After i tried bootng u using fusee stage 2 i see a message fatal error nxboot failed to,detect target firmware. However if i boot up using my sx pro dongle. It boots bt a warning screen says i have to do an update. My console s banned from nintendo so i cant perform the update. So i just cancel the update i then hit the button three times and see previous game n
Sp files that i dnt have frm previous nstalls. I have hbmenu and hmebrew n the sd card as wel as chidjournx i h the albm icn i see a blank screen for like 2 second then back to the previous screen. I was hoping id get the choidujournx to come up then try to downgrade te firmware to 6.0 but no luck. So basically this unit is useless to me...im thnking if someone here s good at this id pay to have it manually fixed using the pc version of the choidujournx. If that cant be done id as soon just sell it as it is...anythoughts as to what to do. Leave a comment or email me directly if you know someone that can fix up this unit

I don't think you can downgrade to 6.0 without enabling AutoRCM to bypass the fuse counter. That said, you should not be using exfat! FAT32 format the SDCARD after BACKING UP.

As for the payload - make sure you are using the right payload for your firmware (fusee-primary from atmosphere 0.8.9 should work for 6.0, 7.0.1, and 8.0.1.)

Been using exfat since the beginning of the scene. Havent had an issue. I use use my phone to transfeer the data. Maybe the phone's memory management type prevents the data corruption.

More than an year using exFat now. No issues. On FW 6.2 atm.
Fat32 is a very old filesystem, with really restrictive file size limitations, among other issues, I would never recommend it unless absolutely needed.
Even with corruption, I'd vouch for exfat + backups.
exFat is also the default fs for SDXC cards above 32GB.

I said the same thing. Until it happened to me. exFAT is easily corruptible (in the case of say a crash in game / homebrew, etc etc.) and since exFAT only has one partition table, once the corruption is there, it will likely stay.

FAT32 doesn't have this issue because it has 2 partition tables, so it can recover the data much more easily. Nintendo has gotten around this for eShop games, however homebrew will likely never see a fix. It's literally safer to use FAT32.

Age doesn't matter, and as for the file size limitation, with how Nintendo Switch stores games on the SDCARD it will never hit the 4GB filesystem limit. other than that it's much more stable than exFAT.

To add: Every CFW developer will tell you the same, especially if using Atmosphere or ReiNX or Kosmos. Just use FAT32. It's a condom for your SDCard.

I'm also exfat and had no problems with it. But keep in mind if you're going to go heavy on homebrew use that fat32 is the way to go since some homebrew can easily corrupt exfat. I have a friend who never had a problem on exfat but when he started playing ppsspp it did eventually corrupted his card.
