I downloaded Blaster Master Zero 2 today from The Internet™, installed the game and patch, and so far it plays fine but the map screen bugs out. It's divided into square segments, using the d-pad / analog stick to select sections, but when moving the cursor the entire map moves instead, clearly beyond its intended boundaries, and the movement controls are reversed as well.

I'm running firmware v7.0.1 via ChoiDujourNX, SXOS 2.6.1, and installed over USB via Tinfoil. No problems or crashes with installation. Game and patch are both the first available scene rips.

I've never encountered a problem like this before with a Switch game. The base version refuses to run without the patch so I haven't been able to test a clean standalone installation. The glitch doesn't so adversely affect the experience but I was curious to know if anyone else has encountered the same problem with the game. Could this be a problem with my setup? A bad installation? Bad scene rip? Or just a weird bug inherent in the data to be patched out later? The game's so new that Google doesn't give results for a search beyond the game's announcement.

It would be very odd for a bad dump or a bad install to cause such a specific issue, but I still suggest trying out another dump if you can find one.
It could very well be normal behavior for all I know. As you said the game is pretty new and there's not much info.
