Hi everyone :)

When I loaded Bubble Memories(bubblemj of v0.78) on Wii mame2003

"push test switch back up data failed" on screen.

As I know, for PC as below method;

"The first time you run the game, it will say '...BACKUP DATA FAILED'. Press F2 to enter test mode and exit to start."

However, I could not find input or mapping menu for test mode key on Wii mame2003.

Would you please inform to me good method?

Best regards,

Currently you must use a keyboard to "press" the service button. There is a bounty fundraiser going to make the service button remappable: https://github.com/libretro/mame2003-plus-libretro/issues/147

However there should be a workaround already in place that allows people like you without a keyboard to "bootstrap" past that problem. Are you able to test this same romset with MAME 2003-Plus?

If it also exists there, it would be good if you could file an issue on github at http://github.com/libretro/mame2003-plus-libretro

Fortunately, you don't need a keyboard(it's not implemented in Retroarch wii). You can remap F2 key to any button.
And I guess he's talking about the inofficial mame2003+ builds I've posted here.

@DDinghoya
Open retroarch menu :
OPTIONS->Display MAME menu->enabled

Resume and in MAME menu :
Input (this game)->Service Mode->'Press the button you want here'

Don't expect high fps with this game...

Thank you for your strong reply! :)

Right! I used your Mame2003 core "B" for Bubble Memories.

At first, Choose Core and load bubblemj rom on Main menu, and then move to Quick menu -> OPTIONS I could not find "Display MAME menu" on screen.

Please attached file.

Best regards,

You're using an old version(0.2 ?) and that option wasn't there yet. You can download the latest v0.4 here : https://gbatemp.net/threads/mame-2003-plus.499497/

If you want to keep your version you can do this :
Open Mame menu with Wii classic controller ZR. From there you can access game info. To remap to another button : Quick menu -> Controls -> Button 8.

Thank you for your strong reply!!!

I tested 2 ways and then done by your second reply!

I found out it and no problem as below on MAME v0.4
. OPTIONS->Display MAME menu->enabled : Ok
. Resume and in MAME menu : Ok

Unfortunately, I could not find "Input (this game)" therefore, Sub-menu items could not be verified. Please see the attached file.

Anyway, Ooh my god thanks a million!!:bow: I cant express my gratitude for you!!!
