SX OS 2.6 Beta released: full support for Nintendo Switch firmware 7.x

From Team Xecuter:

This new 2.6 BETA of SX OS adds full support for Nintendo Switch firmware 7.x, including ALL functionality you expect when using our product. We've been pioneering our own unique and proprietary solution for defeating any future firmware protection and we're quite happy with the results so far.

This release is marked as BETA because we changed things drastically under the hood to streamline future firmware updates and some things may inadvertently behave differently.

That does not mean it hasn't been vetted at all, so give it a shot today!

Of course, we haven't been sitting idly behind the scenes either. A lot of our development resources and attention has been dedicated to bringing SX OS to those "unhackable" switches. We are working hard to bring the SX OS experience to all of you who are stuck with an "unhackable" switch. Stay tuned for more news!

Hardcoding the keys into SXOS would make SXOS even more illegal to distribute, and would obviously violate the rules of this website (and many others), modified sept would not make it even more illegal to distribute. Your second part is incorrect

Sx os is not distributed here

Theres no such a things as "more illegal"

Its already illegal, so... Who cares?

Sept contains 4 key seeds that are used to calculate the rest of the keys after it starts booting. The payload is encrypted with the root key. Is that "illegal to distribute" too?

Yes.

But if they are hardcoding keys (I wasn't paying attention in 6.2) then Temp, technically, would not want association or at least direct linking since that's already against the rules here. Keys are a known legal precedent.

Sept exists BECAUSE keys are illegal and legal action precedent exists around them. There's no gray area on them at all.
Sure, that's true. Gamecard cert is copyrighted material tho (piracy), so already broken gbatemp rules and plenty of laws.

Are you forgetting that I predicted a 7.0.x update?

Nope. Because you didn't. You never made a bold prediction and if you did, you should have repeated it more than using your favourite words/phrases like 'might' or 'might not' or there's a 'chance' it will or won't happen. I think the closest you ever got was saying it will 'likely' happen. But you probably don't want to argue semantics, which is your other cop-out when not wanting to confront your contradictions.

I think it's more likely than not that TX is going to come out with something for 7.0.x.
Nice try, but there's a record.

Nope. Perfectly legal because no keys are openly distributed and would need the keys to get the other keys.

There was some poor wording on my part in that post :/

People do post direct download links to it

I meant that it'd make it illegal in more ways

The moderators and admins of this website should care

The only reason I bring up keys specifically is because there is an actual legal case surrounding them. That's generally why key distribution is always a hot button issue.

SX OS 2.6 blocked primary payload. You need to boot Hekate and then chainload atmosphere

Cool, but you omitted the word 'probably' the first time. *semantics cop-out imminent*?
You can't blame me for not wanting to argue semantics with people who don't understand what certain words mean. To say something is likelier to happen than not is the same thing as saying something will probably happen.

Edit: My experience has been that semantics arguments are engaged when the other side no longer has anything of substance to argue.
