This release is marked as BETA because we changed things drastically under the hood to streamline future firmware updates and some things may inadvertently behave differently.

That does not mean it hasn't been vetted at all, so give it a shot today!

Of course, we haven't been sitting idly behind the scenes either. A lot of our development resources and attention has been dedicated to bringing SX OS to those "unhackable" switches. I am experiencing crashes when i try using SX Installer in conjunction with SX Server.
It crashes at the moment it tries to communicate with my PC over USB.

Until Atmosphere supports loading XCI Cartridge dumps and emuNand I'll stick with SX. I don't want NSP Installs as those present invalid tickets. I like XCI loading as I only use XCI's that I have dumped myself.

Circumstances were different, so it was reasonable to think it might not update. The fact that there have been updates in the past when there were more sales, more public exploits, etc. is not reason enough to accept there would definitely be an update.

i am just showing you a prespective here.. sxos updated each time there was a firm update.. so there are more reason to believe the norm is that they will update than not.

i say if you are on 7.0.1 and not wanting to downgrade use it.. but if on 6.2 then you can wait as its not really needed for the time being.. a more stable one will come and maybe they add others things like restart to payload. etc

I think one user updated theirs from 6.2 to 7.0.1 and they couldn't boot it with the latest release.
