Which starter Pokémon will you choose in Sword & Shield?

So we've all seen Pokémon Sword & Shield revealed this week, but which of the 3 new starter Pocket Monsters will you choose:

Grookey, Scorbunny or Sobble?

Please vote in the poll and let us know who you will choose and why!

None, they all fucking suck.
We got yet ANOTHER stupid simian for starter? Seriously?
Goddamnit, I swear Game Freak tends to have some sort of zoophilia fetish towards monkeys at times.

Am I missing something? I only count one previous monkey starter, and he was a fire Pokemon. If there's a majority among starters, it seems to be lizards/amphibians.

I also saw 3 birds
Torchic, Piplup and that grass type from gen 7

Nice projection there. I am ok with "just a head with leg", "just a weed" or "just a rat" if the design is belivable and detailed. At least the early gen starters heads were not just a sphere. This starter seems to be designed to be the most easy thing to model and to sell the most plushes.

For what it's worth, I don't hate these designs at all.

But while watching the trailer and up until seeing the character art, the starters all looked so similar that I literally thought they decided this time to do slight elemental variations of the same pokemon (Eevee evolution-style).

I hope that hey let us play with & feed our pokemon. The one thing that I hated in let's Go was that they restricted the interactions to our starters only & that we couldn't evolve them. My Raichu was getting really jealous & cursing my Pikachu out

I'm curious how these are any more similar than any other gen

I swear I don't hold any strong feelings about this so I won't argue lol, but here's where I'm coming from at least:

Their anatomical shape seems to be the same: big round head, some sort of 'sprout' feature on top, small body, standing on two feet.

And I guess if you want to compare previous starters:

I'd say the most similar from these are probably Torchic, Piplup, and maybe Oshawatt too? (Even then, they're all from different gen.)
You can just look at the head/necks of these guys and see quite a bit of variety.

You can definitely see a clearer difference in the official artwork of the new starters, for what it's worth.

Good point.

They are a little more similar I think you're right.

Honestly at this point I think they were legitimately based on the Powerpuff girls.

Every gen so far has had at least one starter I liked. Until this gen.

Probably the monkey but I'll box it if I don't like the evos either.
