Hi guys so i recently got a switch and hacked it and it's now running atmosphere 0.8.3 also with that kosmos package. My os is 6.2.0.
My question is that there is a hbstore on it and also retroarch, these apps require WiFi (Internet).
1. So is it safe to connect to WiFi? Are there any precautions that I need to take? Any apps I need to install?
2. Also is there any way to reboot directly into custom firmware? I had to remove and put the SD card quite a few times and it seems like a hectic process everytime cause I use paper clip and pc.
Any help would be appreciated

It's best to turn it off...once you start getting that update nag, it will become a pain since you have to close off of it every time...since you can't go online with games on an older firmware, there is no reason to have wifi on really

I haven't had any problems (so far) using a custom dns on my 5.x hack only Switch (never connected it to Nintendo's online service), can't recall the exact one though (90DNS?).

You could also use FTP, etc. instead of removing the card.

I use 90DNS if I have to update retroarch cores. Otherwise, I have my Switch hooked up to my wifi so I can use ftp and stuff, but I'll completely block it from internet access using my router.

Iirc I just downloaded an ftp server from the homebrew app store and then used filezilla on my laptop to connect to the switch.

Been a while since I did it though so I cant remember the specific details.

Use filezilla on your PC, you need to know your Switch's IP address (which you can find out either from your router, or I think it will show you in the Switch settings too). Some people use a Sys-FTPD kip with their CFW, this runs a FTP server in the background on their Switch when they're at the home menu. There is also a ftpd app you can run from the homebrew menu.
