--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I've been playing Conkers Bad Fur Day.

I'll show it running in a video

Zelda doesn't have a 60fps patch, its still running on its hard locked 20fps, Retroben tried and could not make it work, you will get stuck further on the game.

60fps codes can be found here for other games

About the OOT 60fps, I know know that it has proven itself even more gameplay worthless because you get stuck on Gohma's door and other spots when Deku Scrubs shoot at you because their shots explode immediately.
I had forgotten this unfortunate issue and it is too irritating to attempt any further on fixing this myself, sorry.

I am dedicated to finding the one code in SM64 that can fix all issues with 60fps.

ill copy past from reddit:
Many of Link's animations can actually run at more than 20fps, if my eyes don't mess with me.

You need to use the overclocking feature of Dolphin, or there will be slowdowns (hell, without OC there are zones that run at 16fps in OOT, and much worse in MM).

The 30fps code is the safest one. Both of them shorten the length of the hookshot reach, make Link get stuck in small tunnels (the correct word doesn't reach my mind right now), and screw some events like the Volvagia cutscene (the cutscene doesn't end).

Not to mention that some enemies move faster and performing sword combos is a lot harder. And the time runs faster.

At 60fps, Link gets stuck in the air when you get teleported to the temple entrance after killing the boss. Obviously, time runs at 2x speed compared to 30fps.

tl;dr: good for running around for some time, but not for serious gameplay. You can't complete the game with these codes enabled all the time.

What is mupen-next? Is that different from what is in the Retroarch nightlies packs?
m4xw is currently trying to update the Retroarch version of mupen64plus to match the latest version of regular mupen64plus, and add some other improvements. But some things don't work properly yet (like saving and savestates). Once it's finished retroarch mupen64plus will likely have higher compatibility with games and the graphical glitches in some games will likely be fixed

I know it's probably a long way off... but is it possible we could get hd texture support in the future?

Texture packs already work. I've tried this one, however, and it doesn't - maybe due to its size? Smaller ones seem to work, for instance I've used a Banjoo Kazooie pack that is around 400 megabytes and it worked.

You have to "compile" them with the latest Pj64+GlideN, make sure your Core option HiRes Alpha setting matches the one in Pj64 (GlideN settings), else the pack wont load.
Also if you use fbemu, turn color/depth buffer OFF, else you get stability issues with tex packs

You do realize what you copied and pasted from Reddit has absolutely nothing to do with the matter at hand right? This is a discussion about N64 emulation, not Gamecube/Wii emulation

Yes a complete rewrite, a new x64 dynarec as well as a mupen core rewrite.
None of these are ready for the public just yet.
