Hacking 4.1 OFW with sxos. Want to be on 6.2 ofw & emunand without burning fuses. Is this how I do it?

As the title says, I'm on 4.1 ofw and I want to be on 6.2 ofw on my sysnand AND 6.2 CFW on my emunand without burning my fuses.

I know that if I launch ofw through sx os launcher that I won't burn my fuses. But how do I update my ofw on my sysnand without burning my fuses? From what I gathered I should.

1. Do the SXOS process and create an emunand while on 4.1.

2. Enable autorcm while here

3. Boot ofw through the sxos launcher and update ofw to 6.2 through ChoiDujourNX

4. Update sxos to 6.2 through ChoidDujourNX

Am I correct here?

So you just want 6.2 sysnand and 6.2 emunand? Just update your OFW to 6.2 using ChoidDujourNX making sure to use auto rcm, then make the emunand from that?

I guess I see no reason to create an emunand while on 4.1 if you're just going to update it to the same version as your sysnand. Otherwise yes, that makes sense
Well I haven't actually done any switch hacking/homebrew yet, i've just done a lot of reading up on it. I assumed that you couldn't use choid without having a cfw.

My end goal is to have cfw on emunand on the latest supported firmware to play backups, and have ofw on sysnand on the latest version to play game carts online. And to not burn fuses in this process. I'm looking for the easiest way to get there.

As I said above "My end goal is to have cfw on emunand on the latest supported firmware to play backups, and have ofw on sysnand on the latest version to play game carts online. And to not burn fuses in this process. I'm looking for the easiest way to get there."

I didn't know I could update ofw with choid without having a cfw installed. Thank you!

You do need custom firmware, but you don't need an emunand for that. However, when booting into SX OS without emuNAND make sure you're offline completely

Well I also want a completely clean sysnand, to avoid an online ban as much as possible. If I do this whole process (which requires booting into SX OS without emuNAND) then will I be safe from telemetry? Even if I do it while completely offline?

No, but there's a guide that helps with cleaning sysnand floating around here somewhere. The only way to update your sysNAND while keeping it clean is to do so officially

And honestly, that's something you may want to consider. Realistically speaking, there's not too big of a reason for you to hold off on burning efuses if you have the hardware to access SX OS as it is

This isnt like 3ds. You're not really "safe from a ban" at all if you do any hacking. Many will claim that if you constantly restore a "clean nand" and go online then youre safe but that's both a huge hassle and not really true. Look in the banning thread and you'll see that people have been banned for very little. I believe all these users claiming that they wont get banned just havent yet. Yet.
