Looking around the timer reset method is the quickest method I see mentioned allot to unlock characters but when I try it I’m unable to replicate it either through the home screen or the language menu to reset the game.

Is anyone still able to do it or have another similar alternative? I tried to downgrade the game but it just forces me to upgrade again.

i did:
run in game for 20 min (2player) and win
reset game (home then x)
start smash 1 stock and lose
win hidden player battle
reset and ect...
took about 2 hours

I have no problem doing a 1 Stock Smash battle (which you have to actually play) to get an unlock. After I either win or lose, I press the Home button, X to close the running software, and restart the process. I've been doing this on v1.1.0 as well.
