[Release] HiyaCFW - World's FIRST Nintendo DSi CFW!

Here it is, the first DSi CFW!

Video by Alex S (with TWiLight Menu++ (previously known as DSiMenu++ and SRLoader) installed):

Video by @Apache Thunder (When RocketLauncher was planned for a release. With WarioWare Touched (DSiWare version) installed.):

(NOTE: Since hiyaCFW has been released a few days ago (as of posting this), and no official thread has been made, I decided to go and make it, despite not making the actual patches for it. :P )

With this CFW, you can run custom DSiWare, alongside region free and 3DS-exclusive DSiWare (WarioWare Touched), on your SD card, via NAND to SD redirection!
You can also run blocked flashcards (such as R4 Ultra).

FAQs

Q: Can I use a custom splash for hiyaCFW?
A: Yes you can. Place it at "sd:/hiya/" and name them "splashtop.bmp" and "splashbottom.bmp". Make sure they're actually saved as .bmp files, with the size of 256x192, with no color space info, and is 16-bit (A1 R5 G5 B5, or X1 R5 G5 B5). .gif files will also work instead of .bmp files.

Can't wait to get my Midnight Blue DSi XL back to try it out. It comes with Flipnote Studio which is AWESOME, along with some Brain Age games as well!

The pictures were definitely there when I made the nand backup, so I'm guessing if I remove hiyacfw and reinstall that old nand the pictures will probably show up again? I'm waiting for confirmation before I do that though
Yeah, the photo partition can't be extracted with the current emunand automation tools, but nothing prevents you from:
1- decrypting your nand backup
2- mounting the twlp (2nd) partition
3- copying all contents to "photo" on the SD
:)

You're like 4-5 days late there, buddy, I already copied all my photos to my SD card.

How i can update HiyaCFW?, i have the very first version. It is already running from the SD.
Download the latest version here, place "hiya.dsi" on the SD root, move "bootloader.nds" to "sd:/hiya", then apply the .ips patch for the "bootloader.nds" file.
In the Unlaunch settings, set it to run "sdmc:/hiya.dsi" with no buttons held.

First, update Unlaunch to 1.8.
Download it here.
After downloading, extract "unlaunch.dsi" to SD root, and rename it to "bootcode.dsi". When powering on the console, it will show the screen to install it.

I just noticed that after installing Unlaunch 1.8, the DSi Menu (internal storage) doesn't play the background music anymore. Is there any way to bring the music back?
That's a feature of Unlaunch (for quite a few versions, not just 1.8), not Hiya - if you don't like that patch, you will need to run the launcher in some other way

I see, so I need another way to run "LAUNCHER", correct?
I'm asking all of this because I don't always have the SD Card inserted on my console, so it boots the system menu without any sounds/music. (Sorry if this isn't the right thread to ask these things... Also, my English isn't perfect, sorry if you see some grammar errors.

Hi

Firstly, I know close to nothing about the DSi and emulation.

I got a DSi PAL EUR with no games.

I found this guide: https://dsi.cfw.guide/

Is this considered safe, is there anything I need to look out for that isn't in the guide?

Hello, im new to this. I followed the dsi cfw guide and got unlaunch, hiya, and twilight menu installed. Im pretty sure i installed it correctly because Ive done it about 3 times now. However i cant seem to run any roms. When i try to run a rom from the twilight menu the screen goes white. When i boot into Hiya it takes me to the dsi menu. I have hiya set as the launcher. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. The rom im using to test if it works is Animal Crossing

Hello! I have downloaded HiyaCFW on my DSI XL many, many times but it just boots up in normal mode. I do not know why! I following the guide perfectly but it just shows the splash screen and after that it just boots in normal mode! I also have a problem with "latest version of twilightmenu++". It does not even come at the menu! Please help.
