I recently bought a broken Switch online. It appears to be stuck in AutoRCM. When I try to do any operation that involves the NAND like removing the AutoRCM or backing up the NAND I get "Failed to init the eMMC". Does that mean the Nand is bad or is the GPT broken? Any ideas? I can dump the keys and fuses and such.

It seems that the emmc Chip is defect / not recognized. I had the Same Issue with my corrupted emmc( the clips on the emmc was broken/corrupted)

I had this happen to me last night while setting up a switch (making backups). I resolved it by re-formatting the SD card, to Fat32.

At first I thought it was the emmc, but I guess it simply reported this error due to not having a place to dump the emmc to...?

After I redid the SD card, everything went along smoothly. Didn't notice any other issues afterwards.
I told my buddy to keep me posted though in case the chip really is failing.
