Colors! v1.06h released
Professional painting application
Â
Jens Andersson aka. Jesse has released version 1.06h of his extremely popular homebrew painting app - Colors! Lots of general improvements in this version. Change log and local mirror download below.[title:Colors! 1.06h]* Less stylus jumping (I need feedback on this)
* Reduced input latency and slightly improved painting performance
* Improved Wi-Fi robustness (but flooding problem seems impossible to completely remove)
* Removed clear-animation for small paintings
* Fixed a bug where calibration settings weren't saved correctly
* Upgraded to newer versions of efs-lib and dswifi libraries
* From this version on I will also include .ds.gba equivalent in archive

Sweetness! I've been waiting for another update! Especially that calibration thing.. I had to re-calibrate the pressure everytime before I started drawing...

It's Phidias.

And yes, It is better than Phidias in my opinion. But I use both.

I'm pretty new with this NDS Homebrew scene, and I simply can't believe the power of it. I was drawing for hours till 2-3am, and I can't even draw.

I never knew the touch screen is pressure-sensitive, cause I never played a game that used that feature..
Amazing.

Amazing.

Apparently this feature is not available in the Nintendo SDK (because of differences between DS touch screens), so developers cannot use this feature. But homebrew developers can. Homebrew FTW.

it simulates the pressure and it cannot sense it by hardware, basically the more pixels you touch with ur stylus means more pressure from ur stylus since when u press harder, you are actually touching more screen with more space of head of ur stylus (beside forcing it), thats the idea.

beside that, i had this 1.6h for ages and i wondered why its on first page of temp by now.

EDIT:
does anyone know how to have more than 9 pix in Colors?
as you save, it will open more space, i wonder nowhere talked about this.

EDIT2:
PLEASE See the examples in the http://colors.brombra.net/ site, i'm begging u.

In my opinion, this is THE best homebrew application out right now. I draw on this for HOURS, and I SUCK at drawing. It's incredibly fun, and I love looking at the galleries. Sometimes, I can't even believe how amazingly good people are. o__o It's pretty awesome. I really do wish there was an undo button though.
