I tried installing two game updates from the same game, 2 GB each. After installation, it took 4GB from my microsd.
Is this true for all games that they don't overwrite previously installed updates?

Newer updates generally always contain previous update data packaged with the latest update files. So it shouldn't be doubling up redundant files. IF it took 4 gigs, then there is a reason for it. One update was independent from the other for one reason or another, or you might have installed updates for different title IDs of the same game. Which even I have done before on accident when hunting down update links after the death of the CDN. Make sure your .nsp title ids match your base game id.

Do games have different title ID's per region or per game edition (like a regular edition and a GOTY edition)?

Definitley yes, at least some. Victor Vran had a different title ID for me when I moved from XCI to NSP, I had to use checkpoint to move saves from one Title ID to the other.

That was probably because of the region though. Thanks for the info :)
