Not sure how they did it but they did. I had to update the system to run an NSP and after the update the system boot right into the switch OS with or without the dongle. And the console is of course still blocked so its completely useless now. ;(

have you use AutoRCM? if yes you may need to reenable AutoRCM again.
If not more information would be good.

Sounds to me like user error. Here's how to fix it:
1. Boot the console into RCM mode using a jig
2. Use dongle to boot into SX OS
3. Enable AutoRCM
4. ???
5. Profit

You probably had Auto RCM. You need to use your jig to boot into RCM and then reenable Auto RCM however you did before. Updates remove Auto RCM.

Been looking for the stupid jig plate since I posted this, can't find it. May have to wait for a friend's.

Tried to mod my controller by making a short to pin 9 and 10 (also tried 7 and 10) but still will not go in to the screen to change back to boot from sdcard.

Ok back up, the controller mod worked but I was so self-absorbed in the issue I forgot about the volume up button. I installed a switch in to the controller (prolly not needed) so now I always have a jig.
