No idea, just saying it's a possibility. The easiest to remove an account on a already banned console should be Devmenu.so this is not about getting the console unbanned by removing the account from the console? What purpuse does it have?

this thread was to find out if the console was banned after eyeliner purchasedso this is not about getting the console unbanned by removing the account from the console? What purpuse does it have?
Now I'm confused. Devmenu is a program that runs on the Switch. If Devmenu can remove an account on a already banned console, that means it is only data stored locally on the Switch. If this is the case, than it makes no sense to suggest to have Nintendo remove it with the help of GDPR. Nintendo cannot modify data on a banned Switch. No idea, just saying it's a possibility. Thanks for clarifying. So what I thought was correct like always and what linuxares said was wrong as always. Why is someone like him a moderator? He obviously knows nothing about anything and keeps spreading wrong information all day, even if he is constantly proven wrong.Hell i can remove the account by wiping factory resetting the switch....
The console id is connected to the online account.. if console is banned or going to be banned no matter what account you make for the switch the console id, is still banned.
so this is not about getting the console unbanned by removing the account from the console?
a little off topic here but nintendo has support email?
anybody has tried request unlink account by email?
I'd say it's so that they can reuse their eShop purchases, which are on their Nintendo account, on a new unbanned Switch. The account itself is not banned (which they probably verified as it can still login on the Nintendo website), but it's "trapped" on the banned console (as attempting to unlink will give you an error code). What purpuse does it have?

My old switch got banned (2124-4007), asked Nintendo support to unlink it and they did that. I can use my old nintendo account on the new switch.

In my e-mail I said that my old switch is broken, I said nothing about the ban (or error code). I just asked them to unlink the account from the old console, because it's "unusable".
Email Response (translated):
Dear Mr. [name],
Thank you for contacting Nintendo. We are happy to assist you in moving the Nintendo account.
To help you quickly, we need some more data from you:
- Nickname of your Nintendo account
- used e-mail address
- specified date of birth
- Name of affiliated Nintendo Network ID
- Serial number of the old console
- Serial number of the new console
We are happy to help you with further questions.
So I send them the information they needed and I got this response:
Dear Mr. [name],
Thank you for contacting Nintendo.
I am happy to inform you that we have successfully removed your Nintendo account from the Nintendo Switch. You can now use it again on a new Nintendo Switch completely.
We are happy to help you with further questions.
What did you wrote in your e-mail?
like
tried to return to factory settings , [hoping this will unlink acc from old/banned console ,] but getting 2181-4008 error, can you help me ?
-edit-
No luck
Dear,
Thank you for replying to my e-mail and providing me with the details as requested.
I must inform you that the Nintendo Switch with serial number xxx is banned. We are therefore unfortunately not able to deactivate your Nintendo Account from it.
Should you have any more questions, feel free to contact us back.
Kind regards,
-more edit-
But banned is console, not account - account is accessible from my.nintendo and enters e-shop on new console
Can you make it work on new one ?
Thank you for replying to my e-mail.
I understand this, but the Nintendo Account is associated to the Nintendo Switch. We are therefore not able to do anything about it. I hope for your comprehension.
Should you have any more questions, feel free to contact us back.
Kind regards,
Zeki

Alright, you apparently have issues with me (I've noticed from your reports). I will now kindly ask you to stop the so called witchhunt, the replies I told was perfectly fine, devmenu makes it so the user doesn't need to delete his whole switch with all saves. A format clears a lot more than just the user account. Thanks for clarifying. So what I thought was correct like always and what linuxares said was wrong as always. this will make your acc disappear from banned console, but not deregistered. in soft-ban case you will lost updates options, and to deregister you will need to add same acc to bannned console, which will be next level of kung-fu on banned from internet consoleNo idea, just saying it's a possibility. The easiest to remove an account on a already banned console should be Devmenu.
you cant on banned consoleHell i can remove the account by wiping factory resetting the switch....
they will forget mine acc with all purchases whats the point then ? Yes, I was stupid enough to ruin acc with some purchased games"Right to be forgotten" might help you then.
True! Hmm... they should still be forced to disconnct the account I think. I seems illogical and progably illegal to lock it to a device and not have the option to opt-out from said device. Do what I did. I just asked AFTER purchase. The support email is there for a reason.Has anyone called or emailed support saying they wanted to make sure a console they were thinking of buying used wasn't banned just to check if their own console is banned? Would it just be that easy?
I've been completely offline with it for the last few weeks but I did go online to download updates for XCI and might have tried starting an NSP game in OFW while online and am assuming I'm probably banned now. Could I check this way?
I believe that if the console is sleeping, the downloads still go, but as the Switch' signal range is mediocre, I wasn't able to verify. Downloading 5 demos took quite sometime.you asked about sleep mode.
yeah, he seems a legit helper how knows what he is talking about. 10/10 will call again
If it's stolen, support will help you. They will not help in case of banishment. Several brave souls have tried. There's a thread linked in this topic that explins profusely what was done.True! Hmm... they should still be forced to disconnct the account I think. I seems illogical and progably illegal to lock it to a device and not have the option to opt-out from said device. we are talking about eshop acc now ? on factory reset I got error 2181-4008. with same message as 2141-4007 when you try to use eshopErr yes you can, well i defiantly can..... i don't know about your methods, i think you are wrong.
Im talking about account with online services periodwe are talking about eshop acc now ? on factory reset I got error 2181-4008. with same message as 2141-4007 when you try to use eshop
He's referring to unlinking a Nintendo Account from a banned console which doesn't work because the console has restricted access to Nintendo's servers so even if you link it offline, its still treated as linked from Nintendo's side. The only way to unlink a Nintendo Account after the console is banned is by calling Nintendo and this is a trivial matter as they will accept most reasons for unlinking the account outside of telling them its banned.Im talking about account with online services period
i was responding to his question about being able to remove a account , not a ban but cheersHe's referring to unlinking a Nintendo Account from a banned console which doesn't work because the console has restricted access to Nintendo's servers so even if you link it offline, its still treated as linked from Nintendo's side. to unlink your acc from your switch you can do that by Internet Like Sony do with Ps3/PsP/PsVita/Ps4 .... if your acc itself is not ban =)
