I dont like Asphalt, Gameloft started by ripping of all kinds of known games into crappy java stupid shitty games quite a lot of years ago. They improved a lot, but I still don't consider asphalt a full real racing game like a proper console game...

Well GT6 even on the PS3 still amazes me even when compared to GT Sport, some things in GT6 even looked better, specially the reflections on some parts of the track made a HUGE glare reflecting the car colors that is not present on GT Sport at the same level...

Forza 4 also still looks amazing from the X360, I have it modded on my Xbox360 with more and better smoke effects, HD textures, car resolution in-game is the ones used with high polygon from the menus and I have more anti-aliasing and other reflection cool effects and the games still runs mostly at 60FPS, just drops a bit when I make too much smoke as I made it so that I can do a burnout and still see the window fully super white with a lot of smoke :).

If PS3\X360 handled such a nice level of detail for racing games, why wouldnt Switch be able?

Also EA had Frostbite ported to PS3\X360 back then and was still amazing, now they didnt even bothered to make any Frostbite game engine version for the Switch or they could easily start porting any Frostbite based game very easily for the Switch after porting the full game engine.

Even Battlefield 3 on the X360 is years ahead any MP game on the Switch, unless you really love the crap battleroyale games and think Fortnite is the best shit ever made which I actually find a GARBAGE shitty stupid game mode and a shitty overall game, but its just my view of it ;).

EDIT: Also forgot to say even just GT6 at its full quality being shown on the small Switch Screen would look super amazing, it doesnt need 4K textures to look awesome on-the-go. I played X360 and PS3 on a 22 inch small LG LED TV 720P from around 2 meters and everything at that distance made even some games to look a lot better than the same game running on my PC at ultra 1080P full settings on a 22 inch LED samsung 1080p screen at like 30 cm from the screen because I could see right away a big difference from better textures to the worse as I'm very close to the screen which is still far bigger than the Switch screen and around the same viewing distance... Now I have a 4K 43inch TV and there its when my Xbox360 downgraded the graphic quality by more than half to my old 22 inch LG 720P at the same viewing distance, it even made X360 and PS4 to almost look like a PS4 at 2 meters away :)

But Tegra X2 seems to also have not much low power version, but with downclocks I think they could have done it, but awesome would be Tegra Volta based.

If Switch was even running at full Tegra X1 specs would make it very fearsome, but sadly all high end phones are already considerably faster, specially on the CPU.

Its sad that even on my Nvidia Shield Tablet the CPU can go to 2.2ghz even though its now a super crap non 64bit and quad core and Nintendo opted to use just 1ghz with even a biffed cooler with fan it certainly downgraded the gpu capabilities by a lot too for the X1 standards as the CPU can't help the gpu push much fps in-game :(.

I really hate when they make a very unbalanced hardware when they could always chose to balance it... Why put a 50K$ ferrari engine on a 10K$ fiat or the other way around?

PS4 and Xone have the same problem, a nice GPU being lost by the old AMD CPU cores and even super downclocked :whip:.

EDIT: If anyone make a new PC, it makes 0 sense buying a 1000€ GPU to pair it with like a Intel I3 or Ryzen 3 quad core as some games will be already unplayable even in that super expensive GPU, games like Squad when theres 70+ players and too much action going on it even makes stuttering on a still fairly powerful I7 7700K (still has higher single thread performance than any current AMD chip)...

Need For Shit sux... If they even re-made the awesome NFS Underground 2 or the Porsche (those 2 were some of the best all-time arcade racing games from the Need For Shit series).
Forza actually runs at 30FPS on the Xbox as well
Almost all Forza's run at stable 60FPS like 99% of the time (the old ones from X360 like Forza 4)...

Literally any of these games > being realistic
lol

unless by realistic you mean "real brands/cars" then mario kart 8 has 3 mercedes in it and gear club is a thing. RR3 might as well be no items mario kart. But the cpu in the switch is way to slow to run any good realistic racing games. Assetto corsa is the only 'realistic' game on any console (PC2 is debatable) and even the PS4/X1 suffer from not being fast enough.

sorry i don't mean only very realistic games, i mean racing games with real cars, games like real racing 3 and asphalt 9 and etc. (mario kart 8 deluxe graphics style and also most of it's vehicles isn't realistic)
also i like games like assetto corsa on nintendo switch.
it was better if i write this at first post.
thanks.

You are only talking about android not even finished games at all, I dont even consider any of them a full racing game...

A pure simulator would also be hard for the Switch, Assetto Corsa is awesome, but totally not playable without a racing wheel.

We need is things like Dirt Rally, GT simcade like games, WRECKFEST, WRC7 (actually finally is getting good), something like Burnout.............

I would also kill for something proper and hard like the old AWESOME DRIVER 1 and Driver 2, not like the modern easy games, made for kids that just like pressing 2 buttons or touching screens grrrr...

I only have 2 in mind when it comes to Switch, V-Rally 4 and Spintires (even though its not a racing game), its nowhere enough.

Gear Club I played in my Nvidia Shield and uninstalled it not much after ;) (Definitely a world of difference from what they pictured it as something like GT\Forza).

everyone's missing the fact that the switch lacks analog triggers, which is a must for racing games
gear club unlimited works nice, but it's got wonky physics and pretty abysmal framerates tbh, it's also got horrible input lag

i'm a total nerd for racing games and without analog triggers to control acceleration and braking it just feels really odd

on a side note, i'd love to see burnout paradise on the switch, or any of the older need for speed games (most wanted, carbon, pro street, etc)
and midnight club. mmmmmmmmm midnight club 3 needs ports

I totally agree, I would fire the stupid lame F* who made the pro controller with no triggers grrrr...

And I actually still want to know if the cheap controller out there wirelessly that has proper real triggers if they actually work as analogue triggers or buttons, on youtube no one answered me yet...

Its this one:

This is by far the best deal controller for Switch, works wirelessly, has vibration, motion sensors, real triggers, good quality and super cheap, just lacks NFC which is kinda pointless anyway.

But I really want to know if its triggers work as analogue or button and if the lock is really on the controller or on the Switch Software that just locks all the awesome magic to a god damn stupid ON\OFF only trigger function...
i have my fair share of sim racers, forza 2, 4, 6, project cars. i wouldn't say i enjoy them as much as causing havoc in arcade racers or sim-cade racers, like forza horizon or midnight club 3
Forzas are more arcade than sim... Forza Horizons are almost entirely arcade, GT is probably the most balanced between arcade and sim, Pcars is more to sim, but a pure sim is more like Assetto Corsa, Iracing and others...

Likely a lack of interest. I doubt any attempts previously ever really did well on a Nintendo console. Doesn't seem like the type of game the fanbase as a whole would be interested in.

I'd rather play Mario Kart or Diddy Kong Racing. Realistic racing games are just boring product placements. Maybe hope for EA to port that Most Wanted remake to Switch.
Yeah, maybe in a few decades EA will bring something other than Fifa to a Nintendo console.

If its hardcoded into games we are screwed other than waiting for some new official nintendo accessory with it so they can update the game with trigger support.

I'm thinking kinda like 3DS, it sucked with no 2nd joystick, but they launched the 2nd joystick accessory and most games started supporting it, I have it as it came in a way cheaper bundle.

Maybe if some racing game would drive ppl crazy they could possibly make a bundle like controller with triggers and maybe nintendo could finally start adding support for the rest of its kind.

But if all racing games on Switch would actually be coded to read analogue values (like from 0 to 100) for it and would be locked into some OS crap from nintendo that locks into 0 or 100 (ON\OFF), maybe with atmosphere we could later finally fix Nintendo awesome stupid trigger support:wtf:.

Wait. There are driving games for the switch apart from Mario cart, I had ridge racer on N64 and still play it on my everdrive, so what driving games are there?
