Ive just sent mine to nintendo aussie (im in nz) with previously using sx os on latest OS. Issue with charging.

Before sending, i unlink my nintendo account, factory reset it. The only thing left aftet factory reset are my save games.

Havent received the unit back but they completed the check and agree on replacing the console.

So at least in my case they never found out about sx os usage. The only thing is i cant use my sx os licence anymore and possibly get a new batch patched console. Sucks coz ive only used the sx os for 2 days before my switch went hairwire. Shame xecutor dont care. Not gonna repurchase sx os.

Well @BL4Z3D247 find it scary too probably. Then again I don't care what you post, I'm ain't a moderator anyway.
I was just curious. I was more or less thinking of people who might not want to be called that. It could be considered rude and offensive depending on who you say it to. It doesn't personally bother me, like I said, I was just curious because it's like every post. Lol.

You're getting Mariko'd, OP.

RIP to your Switch homebrew dreams.
1 - There isn't reports of actual Mariko units in the wild. There are only units with were patched to mitigate the exploits while unreleased to the public there are actual exploits that works on them.
2 - OP may get lucky and get an old refurbished unit with an old mobo without said patches.

Nobody can tell you other than Nintendo. It doesn't matter what anybody here says.. You'll just have to take the chance... In my opinion, they are going to want to get as many of the hackable systems out of the public as they can..so they may send you a new unit just for that reason.. But again, I'm not Nintendo, so I don't know. Just know, that there is definitely a chance that if you send it in, you're getting an unhackable unit back.

There is no guarantee OP will get a new model. Refurbished units are of a pool of unpatched and patched devices. Unless Nintendo informed all of it's storage holders to take every refurbished device out of stock and update it, I do not believe it is guaranteed to be a patched unit.

Though I can totally imagine that happening. Making the lower employees stay up at night to update the damn things.

Maybe ask around or read up on what recent purchasers of refurbished models have said?
