whats the bug..... why dont u restore your nand backup before the bug if u have one ??

Id def restore the nand to before you fckd with it or used cfw or hombrew like flash back the stock before you send it to be safe...

Also my switch in uk was repaired this morning, and will get it back tomorrow so il let you know if they replaced the mainboard for the new revision, but i read somewere there not here till august and that there only in japan or china atm ....

but also they wipe the nand i belive or any personal data login accounts etc before they send it back so your lose your data ..

try a stock nand backup restore and
but before that backup your saves with that save backup program for switch or emmc method

There are log files inside the console. These logs persist even if you do a factory reset thorugh system settings. If you delete them, they'll still know you tampered with device, because there should be logs. Only way to make these logs clean is to make NAND backup before doing any other hax and then restore it.

Nobody really knows, the best advice is this:

Do you have a clean nand backup that you could restore? Im guessing they could tell tbh. They probably would just refuse to replace it or fix it and send it back.

Everything else is pure speculation.

I mean, it was all speculation on the 3ds until people started saying "nintendo asked me why a little menu pops up when they turn the 3ds on". Nintendo isnt stupid. They have been learning the whole time. But yea, just a guess rn. But it could worse in the end. Someone got theirs repaired and they replaced the entire mobo.

@magico29, what's with calling everyone baby all the time?

@SexySpai, always be worried when sending in a console just after patched units start appearing out in the wild. They'll probably patch your console and send it back regardless of if they repair it or not. They see the current vulnerability as a security issue and will probably start patching any console that is sent in for repairs.

I mean if they can somehow tell that Hekate had previously been booted then RIP. I think the most obvious is error messages which from what I've heard restoring the nand etc would completely overwrite that. Doesn't seem worth the risk tbh.

Honestly, OP, just do the NAND backup, remove the SD card, and send it in. They will just send it back if they notice tampering. They will not manipulate your device in any way. They have a policy against touching any devices which have been tampered, breaking warranty and user agreement.

The people who repair the Nintendo Switches are not Nintendo, but contracted third-party repair companies. If the repair company deems your device unable to be repaired by their technicians, they will send you a message asking if you want the device back or if you would prefer a manufacturer-refurbished device. This will be a fully-updated device with a new warranty of it's own.

You have nothing to lose if your Nintendo Switch is experiencing issues that interfere with enjoyment.

So... backup the nand, wipe the console, remove the sd card and send it in?

No need to do the wipe, but if it eases your conscious, go for it.

If you are willing to accept losing all data thus far whether through that wipe OR by getting a refurbished device, go right on ahead with gusto.

Well if what Pluupy says is true then disregard my post.

Still, I err on the side of caution. That being said, good luck with what ever route you choose to go.

What cfw Switch? lol
Hekate cfw

UPDATE: I just remembered that my switch is out of warranty. Nintendo isnt charging me because it was just a small software bug that prevented me from saving. This information might lower the chances of getting a patched replacement.

They seriously know more than what we let on. Now this quite dated but I hacked my wii years ago and i couldnt access my games that I bought from the wii shop so I phoned nintendo up and they transfered me twice and I got this one guy who asked for modem type and the serial on the back of my wii. I told him the error code and then he proceded to ask me what all the tiles on my wii was in order that I saw them. I skipped the hacked ones, but he kept asking me to keep going over them. It was like torture(I think I went over them over 5 times or so). I slipped up on one game and he asked me how i got that and told him I transfered it off of the sd card and he told thats impossible. I made me update my wii and then I downloaded my stuff. I cried after. It was awful. I was in highschool at the time and i told my friend and he couldnt believe it. I dont recommend phoning Nintendo up for anything unless the system itself it isnt hacked.

If you're really that worried, you could just have it serviced by someone other than Nintendo. If they have full access to the console (which they should), then they will know everything you did to it. What they do with that information is left to our imaginations.
AFAIK it isn't Nintendo that services the consoles, they send them out to an external repairer. They had me ship mine to some other shop in New York, not directly to them... at least that's what the shipping label they provided said.
