SciresM has stated that only clearing the logs with hekate isn't enough and there's still the risk that some information is stored on the console.

wasn't what he said is that he doesn't FEEL that it is enough because some data might be in the switch, but he DOES NOT KNOW yet if it is really safe.

so it is more of something along the lines of " I don't know, if they have the data somewhere else so you are fucked, otherwise it is safe"

I don't know how he expressed it in words. However, as I said, there's the risk that some information might be stored in the internal memory of the switch. And since we don't know if deleting the logs with hekate is enough, we can only say that it isn't safe to rely on it right now.

In the future, when there is EmuNAND support, it will allow us to use hacks/homebrew offline and play games legitimately online without worrying about banned as long as you don't do any hacks online. The ideal setup would be to keep an offline SysNAND with CFW and an online EmuNAND with whatever games you buy with your money and play online. If you get banned and want to play online now or in the distant future, you cannot reverse this process as far as we know.

So, what Are the side effects of a banned console? Is it just no eShop access and no online multiplayer?

Can I still update all my games and can I still play local Multiplayer with other switches?

If you do get a console ban, you are limited to game updates and system updates. I'm assuming since local multiplayer doesn't connect you to online that it will function. However all other online functions such as the eShop and online play will be disabled. Also, a console ban almost always is complemented with an account ban.

I wonder about that too. I still don't understand what a ban on Switch effects.

-Will I be able to play backups, and even pirated games offline ? (I don't have SX because I don't know where to order for Germany with PayPal)
- Will I be able to Update games ?
- Can i still play local multiplayer ?
- will I be able to play all my bought games from eshop I already have installed ?
And the last question :
- if I have a second untouched switch, will I be able to use my Nintendo Account from a banned one on a untouched Switch ? Or is the ban going to be Console, Account and Cardridge ? If all of that is the case I can do what I want because I don't want to play online, I even can't because of the poor WLAN module in the switch.

Sorry for asking stuff that maybe was answered a million times before, but it all seems to be unclear for me so I had to ask ...

Yes
Yes
Yes, theoretically
Yes
Nintendo usually bans both the console and the account simultaneously considering that they don't want you (the account holder) going online whatsoever hence the ban to your console. If you are lucky enough to only be hit with the console ban, then your Nintendo account is still safe, but that is a rare situation.

Thank you very much ^^

Then i have no reason to use everything i want. But why only theoretically update through the switch itself ? Could Nintendo ban the update thing too? There is currently no way to dumb update data and inject them offline right, like we can on 3ds right ?

Maybe because Nintendo feels that you deserve at least THAT much out of the device? I feel like there was a more official reason but I can't recall anything at the moment. Anyways, we can update our system to specific firmwares now using game dumps and a dump of your NAND. Limitation to this method is that we can only update to firmwares that come with game cartridges. For example, there are no games that come with 5.X. Also, while we don't have a way to install game updates offline, we do have a (complicated) way of dumping them.

I have 32 .xci files on my sd card. This is what I did:
- Click on each game in the CFW menu so that it shows up on the main menu.
- Power off.
- Reboot to OFW.
- Re-enter internet settings (mine were deleted to be safe).
- Click + > Software Update for each game.
- Wait several hours for this to be completed (LA Noire took ages).
- Delete all internet settings.
- Reboot to CFW.
- Winning.

And you didn't got banned while downloading the updates. That's cool. But currently I don't have the SX, because there is no German seller who has it in stock. So I would use something risky.

No, no ban.
I just make sure my internet is completely disabled when using the CFW.

Actually, I just tried running LA Noire for the first time. I updated before playing. Black screen and I need to hold the power button down to force a reboot. Anyone else had this issue?
All other games appear to be working after updating.

Hey everyone! It's Darth Meteos' super sneaky way to update legally backed-up games!

Go into SX OS for the first time, and boot your games, so they're on the menu. SX OS spoofs the cartridge, so they'll stay there even when they're not mounted!
Reset into OFW! If you're using AutoRCM, hold + when you activate the payload to get to the SX OS menu, and boot into official firmware!

Your carts will still be there, but unplayable. Connect to a nearby WiFi source. Press + while hovering over one of them and select Software Update via internet, and all the titles that require updating will update! After that, delete your internet settings and BOOM! All your carts are updated, and since the 'cart' wasn't in the console and Nintendo's only getting the update from their server, you'll be just fine!

Enjoy your updated games!

What If i use a different backup loader/Installer and i get banned, will i still be able to play when Cardridge is banned ? Or when Account, console and Cardridge is banned ? Can i still play the Games and Update ? That would be super cool, but stupid from Nintendo xD
