Yeah its opened before but dont know why as its my cousin's console...Are you sure that I should change the card slot readerTry using lighting up the M-SD port with a flashlight to see if you can see anything wrong with the pins and make sure they are fully fine...
Also did you ever open the console? The M-SD port reader cable might be badly connected inside the Switch.
You are lucky in case its something hardware related just with the M-SD port because its completely easy to replace (plug-n-play after just a few screws).
