Vba sounds much better had an issue for a second where fps went really low and had to exit out and restart.

Vba is getting bad fps after a couple mins with roms goes to like 1fps and sound chugs

Reducing audio latency by 1 fixes that.

The audio buffer runs perfectly, so it never needs to sync it up lol.

That forces it to sync up, but that will fuck up VBA. Well fuck

fixed the chugging but sound is now hazzy and crackly not as bad as before though
vba

Only needs to be done for SNES9x, not VBA.

@m4xw, yeah that fixes it mostly, but there's still minor popping.

EDIT: As soon as I posted that, SNES9x slowed to an absolute crawl before completely halting. Had to go back to home menu.

At least the sound seems to be fine again for SNES. No crackling.
Have had it randomly hang at the menu trying to get into a game though, so, there's that.

Look the pull request I posted, thats not related to my fixes. Seems to be a libnx Bug / race condition

Close/Load content (always use Save states in addition on threaded!), Quit RetroArch, changing video_threaded or audio_latency all re-init the drivers (and can thus cause the problem)

Idk who is working on MAME2003, but it took a downgrade it seems, I just obtained the latest pipeline, games like Rayforce & Mortal Kombat II are all of a sudden sluggish? Would anyone know who I should contact regarding this port? Thanks!

Nobody maintains it.
Don't upgrade your versions if you don't see the need.
Could be you've used a threaded build before, but I am not done fixing my updates. Just starting to backport the fixes from today to the stable branches, that should give us a nice performance boost.
