Several Reswitched team members and other people who know what they are talking about have said theyare concerned about the SoC, search discord if you want more in depth stuff.

I am not saying use Atmosphere instead of Hekate, I am saying neither are ready for end users and thus should not be used by people who will not be able to recover from bricks without the need of long guides or in the case of this destroy or shorten the lifespan of their device.

Better to be safe than sorry.
I get what you're saying, and actually appreciate that you're the only one that's bothered to mention any of this here. But that's also kinda my point. The whole "SoC degradation" thing is either nonsense or it's a serious issue. If it's a serious issue then where are the posts warning users? If the only place this information can be found is within Reswitched discord then it's either dramatic exaggeration or at best "heh let them ruin their switches so they can learn why they shouldve waited for our release".

Well based on this I would say the issue is there, but not problematic enough for them to bother making a big deal out of it because then they get even more questions from clueless kids than they already do + they have already said dont use unfinished binaries, and Hekate is no a finished product, it even says dont post this on GBAtemp in the readme....

What I got from that was SciresM is annoyed there's people taking his unfinished work and releasing hacky versions of it. Which is understandable if you're a control freak sort of person.

But I dont see anything to suggest SoC degradation is anything other than wild speculation.

OgNik is a Reswitched team member (screen is not from the RS server), and Roblabla also mentioned this.

I am on mobile now so not going to find more, but you can search discord if you want "proof". Also believe Kate commented on it.

Oh I know that Im not going to find proof. How can there possibly be proof of slow SoC degradation after some hours or days lol. You would have to do a controlled study over months or years.

Btw, people have been speculating about this sort of degradation for years about overclocking/overvolting. It just doesn't hold up over meaningful timeframes.

Edit: Of course kate commented on it.. the idiot named it "hekate".

It is being worked on. We don't need even more threads asking about when x is coming to x FW, the answer is always it is being worked on, or will be worked on.

Also: If you are not a dev, DO NOT use Hekate it slowly damages the SoC, and has resulted in several soft bricks. The binaries available are not for the end user even if you are able to boot, I do not understand why people are using it for HB when it is clearly not ready.
Haven't seen a single post from soft bricking on here... And my bet would be these users are the ones using it... Provide evidence of a soft brick... From Hekate..?

Regardless of whether the SoC damage was true or blown out of proportion, I do agree that extra threads being created to ask for stuff is really stupid. Especially when the dev already knows and is being bothered about it constantly on his own OP thread.

That's a different story though, it does not do any damage, it just fucks up the calibration.
For all we know, the way it screws up the calibration could damage the battery. Dunno, but I'm not comfortable using it anymore after having to disconnect the battery a couple of times.

You don't have to disconnect it, that's just a faster way of re-calibrating it.
1-2 healthy charge cycles in Horizon do the job just as well.

It surely isn't good on the long run, but as long as you don't do it 3 times every day it shouldn't be a problem.
