Hacking PS4 Hen cant save - Console is infinite trying to save

Hello everyone,

i have searched for my Problem on google but i couldnt find a similar one. I have a PS4 Fat. I was on FW 4.05 and updated to 4.55. I'm using AlAzif Hen files.

The exploit loads very successful, but often when i start a game it stucks on "booting". Then i'm only able to shutdown my console. If i do something else, the console freezes. The most annoying issues is that, when playing a game, as soon it trys to save it is not working. I can still play but i can see that the "save icon" is trying to save forever. This issues seems like happening more often recently. I only used the PS4 since the exploit has been realesed, so the hardware hasn't run much. When the "save failure" happens, im only able to shutdown the console, i can't shutdown the application or start another application. If i try, the console freezes.

Does someone know a solution for this?

Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry to say but im not "that" deep in the scene. But i guess you mean an older userland exploit? Can you point me to which i should use? As i said, currenty i use the up to date version of alazif windows binary.

I have put the old v1, rewrite v2, and third rewrite v3 in my pack under [Components] here; https://gbatemp.net/threads/aio-ps4-exploit-guide.497858/#post-7858030
I will be releasing a compatibility fix with known working configurations as V4.5 as soon as possible, but the tilfes inside will be fine for you to canibalize

Thank you, now i understand. I will try everything. So you think the cause is not a hardware issuse from my console?

Definitely not.

I had same issue day one that userland v2 came out.

Switched back to v1 and bingo: all fine.

V1 gives out OOM (out of memory) error a few times trying to load it but once it runs: no messing up anything.

V2 usually runs first time (occasionally java script error) and sometimes works fine, other times causes infinite loading/saving.

Sorry to bother you but I was wondering if you could elaborate on this. Just to give some background, I live in Asia so purchased a fat ps4 from a shop with the 4.05 PS4hen exploit already pre-loaded. Today, I brought it in to the shop and they updated it to 4.55 using AlAzif Hen files. Now I am having the same issues as the OP with my system either freezing on loading a game ( maybe 25% of the time) or getting stuck in the save loop every time there is a hard save.

I was wondering if you could give a simple explanation on what to do with the userland files from the package in your link? I am coming in with 0 knowledge on the subject and don't really know where to start. Any advice or help you could provide would be really appreciated.

How is it preinstalled/preloaded? They give you a wifi memory stick?

Anyway...

Symptoms of V2 userland (qwertys rewrite) are long loading times, failure to save, failure to close apps or shutdown console (hangs).

The files can literally be copy/pasted, take userland v1 file, name it to userland.js, and paste over the existing userland file in the exploit folder (you can do this for every exploit/payload folder: HEN, apptousb, spoofer, linux loader etc)

Sorry, I'm not that familiar with the proper lingo. What I mean is that everything was already installed and setup at the shop but I still need to activate the hen every time I turn it on. 3/4 of the symptoms you listed I'm experiencing(and the long loading times I may have just not noticed yet) so that is likely the case. I'll need to do a little research on how to paste over the file because I'm a complete novice. Really appreciate the response though!

Is this exclusive to fat ps4 systems? The reason I ask is that when I spoke with the person who set it up for me he had never encountered this problem before.

Nope it happens on fat/slim/pro 500gb/1tb alike.

You need to find the best combo of payload and userland.

Whatever youre using to host the exploit you connect your browser/userguide to: change them to v1.

Its different for everyone mate.

No salesman would admit to faulty product. You pay for back ups installed or hen files?

Paid for backups installed. Is that going to be something I'm kicking myself over?

They're honestly good people though, have known them for 6+ years but they are also clearly working through the new exploits that have come out. I'll delve into the scene here and try to work my way backwards to where I'm currently at.

I really wanted to figure this out for myself but I am at a complete loss and just spinning wheels. I grabbed the username v1 file from your components package but I'm pretty much still stuck there. I'd understand if you don't have the time or inclination to walk me through this but any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

For example, I have no idea where I'd find the exploits folder to move the V1 file to or how to change the userguide to connect to the V1 version. So yeah, spinning wheels and have figured absolutely nothing out.

In my V4.5 pack for example:

Extract it to your hosing location.

Go to the components folder: userland, copy (ctrl+c) the userlandv1 file.

Now go back to the payloads folder, then the hen folder. In that folder is:

Index.html
Payload.js
Kernel.js
Userland.js
Rop.js
Syscalls.js

Delete the userland.js file there then paste (ctrl+v) the userlandv1 file, make sure to rename it to "userland.js".

Now on PS4, load up the index menu and select hen.

It will now be loading your combination of v1 userland with the other files.

Or just run hen twice. That has worked for me also.
