I mean, if i need to use warranty in case of faulty console. Can i undo cfw and anything what i did before sending 3DS to Nintendo for repair?

I dont like R4 because its another hardware part which can be damaged. That button must have some lifespan. And i thought, you can use maximaly 32GB card And i would like to use 128GB. I cant find any in Czech republic.

You only need to use the R4 for about 5 minutes, that's hardly enough time for it to get damaged or worn out. And what button? And what does the SD card size have to do with anything? You can use a 128GB card if you format it to FAT32. You can uninstall CFW if you wish. What do you want to achieve by being on this forum, if you don't want to install CFW?

Ok, that was my mistake. I didnt understand it. I will need that card only for proces to do cfw, right? I thought you meant to use it whole time for playing. So after the whole thing with cfw Is done i can resell the card? Or i can find someone with card. I dont mind price of the card but i cant find any in our country.

Hello, 3DS-noob here.

Console hacking experience = Hacked my Wii a long long time ago, installed HBL and such. Don't remember it all...

I decided to pick up a NEW 2DS XL last week. This was the first time ever even holding a 2DS/3DS in my hands.

Then I began scanning the hacking scene, as much as I could. Understood that I must get a flashcard, so I ordered the new ACE3DS X since it's supposed to be able to switch between DS and 3DS mode with a hardware toggle switch. Haven't got it yet. I also ordered two Samsung microSDHC 32GB cards (dunno if I need 2 though).

I want to be able to play NDS and 3DS games. From reading a bit, I understand if you want to play .3DS you need a Sky3d+, which is expensive. But with CFW you can play 3DS-games in .CIA format, and it's also possible to convert .3DS to .CIA.

I also understand that 3ds.guide is the place to start, if I follow that guide and its software references I will have pretty much everything I need.

Assuming I'm correct regarding all this, the thing I'm wondering though is:

I put one of the microSDHC cards in the actual ACE3DS X for the hack? And after that, can I put the NDS / 3DS roms on that same card, and always have the card inserted in the ACE3DS X? Or is it only for the hack, and I can't put any roms on it? Can I mix NDS / 3DS roms on the same card? From what I understand, NDS mode and 3DS mode is two 'different' things.

What do I do with the regular card slot, that's on the 2DS? Do I put roms there?

Hope someone can clear this up, mainly explain where to put the roms and how to use both of the slot cards.

You don't use the flashcart to play 3DS games, you use it to install CFW so you can install games to your 3DS. You won't need a Sky3DS. Read the guide thoroughly before beginning.

hi? can someone help me with why i cant access my Emunand anymore??? whenever i boot my 3ds it just goes straight to the stock system?? some games are still on the menu but most of my games are now gone.... but i can still see the titles i have downloaded on the software menu?? please? help...

What is your setup? Probably hold Select on boot up and tick "autoboot emuNAND" then press Start.

I have done as you instructed and now rather than getting that error my console never boots. It stays on a black screen forever with nothing on it. Any other ideas? If its safe I will just start over I just need to know I won't be bricking my console.

So I followed 3dsguide on my n3ds and completed it .

I downloaded free shop and scanned a qr code , and downloaded a game .. but when launching the game I get an error errDisp?

Is there any additional settings to setup?

I'm trying to upgrade my New 3DS XL to B9S. I haven't touched anything on it firmware wise for a few months if not longer after I first installed the Arm9LoaderHax.

I'm using the a9lh to b9s guide.

I've checked multiple times that I have the files in the correct place.

At section 2, to install boot9strap, It says to boot your device while holding START to launch the Luma3DS chainloader. This is where I'm having issues. Holding start launches HourGlass9 and holding select launches Luma3DS Configurator 6.6 ...

I'm not really sure why it's doing this. I've changed the arm9loaderhax file to the newest version for Luma and it's still launching into 6.6. I read in another thread that this may be it booting from Nand or something like that and not reading the file on the SD card. Does anyone have a suggestion?

If I can just update to the latest firmware without doing all this then I'll just do that.

Sounds like there's something wrong with your SD card. You can use FBI to copy the arm9loaderhax.bin on your SD card to the CTR-NAND, and copy the luma folder to the CTR-NAND/rw folder to be able to access payloads. But I believe the SafeB9SInstaller is going to need to access the SD card to install b9s so that's not a proper solution. Look at getting a new SD card and test it with H2testw before you use it.

Quick question. I have a newly purchased N3DS XL and a o3DS XL with bs9 installed. Am I correct that I should use this guide:

If I want to transfer everything (home brew, cias, fbi)? I really want to keep my 3DS hacked so I’m hoping I have everything I need. I have the DSi game in my o3ds so I should be ready to go.

Yes you should use that guide. Just know that Homebrew CIAs (FBI included) and any non-legit titles will not transfer properly and will need to be reinstalled after the transfer. Back up your save files first with JKSM or Checkpoint first.

save home menu layout to avoid reorganizing icons. illegit titles do not need to be reinstalled, only the ticket.
