I get really apathetic about new Ubisoft releases. Far Cry 3, 4, and Primal all seemed so incredibly boring to me. The last two Assassin's Creed games didn't help. Climb this tower, gather these items, *blargh* here's a bunch of map markers, go to them and do things. All their worlds feel really shallow.
So for these games, I'm not at all excited about Far Cry 5, if the past few ones are anything to go on. I am lowkey interested in how The Crew 2 might turn out, but the first Crew game was so incredibly boring that I don't know if I can stomach another game in the same vein.
What I'm REALLY excited for is the new Assassin's Creed game. I've always loved the AC series, and when I heard they're going to be spending a longer time on their next installment, that got me excited because it would mean a better, hopefully more polished product. I really hope this next game does away with much of the classic Ubisoft tropes, mainly the spitting of icons and markers all over your map. The next AC is really all I'm looking forward to from Ubisoft.
