That's nice of you, but you can't help everyone that doesn't speak English.
With pictures, yes you can. None of the utilities are in other languages as far as I know. Pictures will allow users to go at a much SAFER pace as they won't have to fumble back and forth through a video, well made or not.

It's true that they get outdated, but so what? Worst case scenario you spend an extra hour installing a9lh. Old methods still work and the uploader could add an anotation stating that there's a newer way.

The effort thing isn't really a point against the video guides. If the video guide is clear, easy to understand, and works, why does effort input matter?

YouTube guides should give credit for the tools used and shouldn't use ad links. This is the only valid point I've seen.

There were translation attempts before, but the guide just changes too fast to keep the translated versions up to date and if they're not up to date they're as good as the outdated YouTube videos. Which I honestly don't think is that big a deal.

Well maybe Plailtect (or whatever) couldve been a bit smarter to add different languages for the guide.

Maybe that could work, but idk how many pictures it would take. They'd have to be updated each time theres an update to the guide.

Right now, there aren't pictures, though. What would you have someone who doesn't speak English do, right now?

It's a lot so far. I'm in the process of doing this via PC screenshots and my phone camera for steps on the 2DS/3DS/N3DS. I need to contact Plailect to see if I can use his guide and pair it with pics. Unless someone else has another way to go about this. I just have to uninstall Luma3DS and A9LH on one of my 2DSes to do the steps of CTRtransfer 2.1.0 and so on.

I don't think monetizing the content is bad, but, frankly, I do agree with the first part. And it is a fact that, in an attempt to make money, misinformed uploaders can cause others to brick because they themselves lack knowledge.
Holy shit this thread gets pages fast.
Also, my sentence was gramatically correct, as "type" and "write" are interchangeable, and "4 year old" is also correct, while "4 years old" is wrong.

This topic is for YakaraColombia's Old Safehax Video? The video was well done, which happened that he forgot to remove the single file for each console called otp.bin, since it was at dawn when the video came up.

He is offering free repair in Colombia, for his error. It is also true that the Pialect guide needs to be more visual, even translating it in several languages can lead readers to laziness.

Yakara apparently learned his lesson.

Unfortunately another defect of this generation, apart from the lazy reading, is that they want everything ready the same moment, without waiting for its revision.

i have mixed feelings about 3ds.guide it works and well but . . . when i first hacked my 3ds i started by reading a rxtools guide here on gbatemp and quickly found myself confused found a youtube video on rxtools watched it witch gave me a better understanding of the process then i returned to gbatemp found a rxtools thread with the most likes and began asking questions (mostly about the differences between the video and the guide & got answers from the guides author) . . .

. . . with 3ds.guide there is no one place for the average newb to get help (while youtube has a comment box built in where the video guides author will likely answer) . . . and lets be real the help received from gbatemp is usually some uber noob with 100% blind faith in the guide telling you you screwed up start over acknowledging that the guide is always being updated so it works. but some updates are because . . . the guide was not working (the author is human after all) so there is a chance the newb did every step correctly and still no joy

but youtube has its own set of problems as others have mentioned they are nearly constantly ridiculously out of date (especially when new hax are actively being released) they get way less use so less feedback as well this leads to little to no improvement when its needed . . . in youtube chat boxes usually only the author knows how to help you so if he is not active there will likely be no help . . . though a well written/recorded guide (that works) eliminates the need to ask silly questions

what im trying to say (i think) is a guide anywhere can be well written or bad its up to the user to decide compare it to other similar guides and or feedback in the guide or be a n00b and just jump in . . . (see my sig)

"Wishful thinking" So many people are going to do it anyway, even when I modded my 3ds last year, I used a video guide, I do know people who bricked their system because they didn't which the guides right. Speaking of which...Time to switch from Menuhax to Arm9... Can I get a link to a video? JK JK.

Ok so i think im done with at least something, 2.1.0 CTRtransfer page edited a small bit (Fixed a small error, and added a big warning sign in the transfer saying that if the console does not have the WiFi enabled, remove the battery, helping to newbies to not overreact and update or format the console

The -removed- parts are obv the magnet links of the ctrtransfer, which i removed lol

If someone is Spanish Native, you can read this if you want.

If you downgrade to 2.1.0 on a 2DS or New 3DS and left Wireless Communication off, you can re-enable the wireless by removing the battery for several seconds then booting back up.

If you've been using the New 3DS's microSD Management to transfer files to your SD card, this will no longer work on 2.1.0, make sure to have a microSD card reader on hand before proceeding.

#### Overview of steps
// #### Repasando los pasos

In this section, we will be flashing your console's [CTRNAND](https://www.3dbrew.org/wiki/Flash_Filesystem#CTR_partition) partition to 2.1.0 in order to take advantage of an oversight in 2.1.0 for the purpose of extracting the [OTP](otp-info) unique to your console. This OTP file is required to install arm9loaderhax, and **cannot** be shared with other consoles.

This is accomplished by [installing a premade ctrtransfer image](https://www.reddit.com/r/3dshacks/comments/4zhe4a/) containing 2.1.0, copying your console specific files (such as `moveable.sed` and `SecureInfo_A`) to it, then fixing the title databases.

The OTP is a requirement to use arm9loaderhax.

You don't know how hot an iron is, until you get burned. Lessons in life.

And the lazy to the reading, they are not only children.I have had to help adults, for example, use ATMs for bank deposits. Here in Venezuela the bank accounts have 20 numbers in always format (0000-0000-00-0000000000), the bank with the simplest ATM to deposit is the "Banco Mercantil".

Steps to deposit via ATM in Banco Mercantil
1) Touch Screen
2) Enter your ID number
3) Available Transactions (Deposit or Credit Card Payments)
4) Deposit in cash or deposit Check
5) Enter the last 10 numbers of the account to be deposited
6) Enter the Money or The total amount of check if you are depositing a check
7) Enter the Check to Deposit (exclusive step for deposit in checks)

This deposit's ATM is the most basic of all, and people fail the first time, in step five for not reading the indication written on the screen.

The main problem is that even if you tell to ppl to use guide some will not because they are not member of gbatemp and they will just start posting here to find solution. In fact it should be better to write something about "how to know if you are bricked or not and how to solve that"
