Use a newer FTP

FTBrony is outdated. At least that's the old name of it which has been changed for quite a while.

Either that or take the SD card out of the 3DS and access it right from the computer.

Just tried FTPDB, but I'm getting a similar error:
/JKSV/Saves/Pokemon_Omega_Ruby: 138 Illegal byte sequence
550 unavailable

I know this might be the wrong place to troubleshoot FTP problems, but I was wondering if I was doing something wrong in JKSM. And you're right, I could just pop my SD card into my comp, but transferring small files over FTP would be super convenient.

I am "chill", you just seem to be taking my questions as hostile for some reason. And taking out the SD card is not as complicated as people make it to be.

It's not complicated I guess but it's more of a pain when you have to unscrew the two screws every time to just to transfer files.

Is there another .cia save file manager that I could look into?

edit: It looks like the FTP app was the problem. I first tried FTPDB as you suggested, but that didn't work. I tried FTPD next and it seems to have solved the problem. Thanks!

I'm trying to get JK Save Manager to work on my ninjhax 2.0'd homebrew launcher. When I go into Save Data Options, it says there is an error opening save archive. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do.

What system version are you on and what game are you trying to use with JKSV?

11.2, I'm just trying to get it to work on any game. It won't open my save archive at all. I will eventually use it on Pokemon Sun but idk if it will use the pokebank workaround or even work at all

If you're trying to do ORAS you should be targeting Bank initially, but then going to Cartridge once you're into JKSV ... this confused the hell out of me a few weeks ago

re S&M: Apparently it won't work with bank until Jan when bank works with Sun & Moon ... but it will work directly with Sun & Moon if you have CFW.

----------

I'm having problems targeting OOT - I need to get a new payload on there to downgrade another 2DS I just bought for CFW (Don't have Powersaves with me) - can target Bank OK and mod ORAS but whenever I target OOT it just yellow screens ... is this just a custom memmap issue? Has one been made for OOT?

I don't think you can use JKSM to install hax payloads on OOT carts. You need a system with CFW and the sploit_installer or a Powersaves device.

Also, what @Xiphiidae said.

I imagine you're on 11.0 or higher. You can't use any homebrew (save managers, oot3dhax installer, etc.) with OoT3D on 11.x, due to the implementation of PASLR for that title with 11.0. If you want to install oot3dhax, you'll need to find a 3DS below 11.0, or a Powersaves device.

I believe you can use Browserhax on 10.6 and then install Menuhax; no OoT needed.
DOH good point ... I originally clicked (no browser) option in Plailect's guide cause I was like "yeah I have OOT with payload already and know how to do it' ... should have just gone browser lol

Thanks mate!

So, what's the process for using this (via A9LH) to import a Moon save to Sun version?

I know there's a way to go between Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, so is it the same, or is something else necessary too?

Extract Moon save, move Moon save to Pokémon_Sun folder, import save. Be warned that the in-game time won't change because Moon is 12 hours ahead of your current system time.

That's fine. All I wanted to do was take my Moon progress (which isn't much, admittedly) into Sun, considering Moon leaked first, but I wanted to play Sun more.
