And then there's our stance against piracy, which is why we'd like you guys to stop talking about ways to do that, please.

We don't want to receive a C&D letter before we even release the first episode...
Not trying to. A lot of the games I emulate I actually own, or am actively trying to purchase. I'm just personally against modding my game systems. Only one I ever modded was my PSP, and only because it was so broken, I pretty much had to for it to be usable.

You did develop your own tools to edit the whole translation right? Can I have a little bit background information, on which files the dialogues are stored, which compression they use and so on? I would like to hopefully find similarities between this game and Ace Attorney Trilogy, which I and some colleagues are trying to translate. It would be cool if you can share your wisdom with us. Thx in advance.

Edit: If you eventually want more information about what we're capable of and already know, you can visit our thread.

How much of the game have you translated so far?

As mentioned before, raw translation is done. But then there's alternative answers, GUI, profiles, evidence, ... But the most work is editing text and proofreading it, I guess. And all that needs to be approved again, to make sure it's still accurate.

I looked into the Trilogy for research and I can tell you the engine is completely different. Our tools won't help you, sorry.

Just wanted to let you know two things. First of all thanks for the hard work - this is really special as it looks like Capcom will NEVER localize the game. This isn't a Fire Emblem If where we knew from the beginning that there would be an English version. Capcom's reason to not localize the game is just dumb. They know that we want it and AA is the biggest visual novel franchise outside of Japan. We can overlook some "plotholes", just let us play the game!

Secondly... Capcom is re-printing the game in Japan as a "budget release" (cheaper?) this december. I will probably grab one of those copies!
(Also unrelated to this game, but AA4 is coming out on mobile this winter. At least one good thing for people that try to get into the series)

You are aware that's a pun, right?
Of course I know the Naruhodo pun, but it's still the way it's written in-game.
It's written as Naruhodo and not Naruhodou.

Edit: I'm not trying to fight about this, I just don't understand why you guys went for Naruhodou over Naruhudo when it's Naruhodo in-game.

And I explained it to you, but you decided to ignore that. We have good translators working on this, what is your working experience in the filed?
I didn't ignore it, I just didn't understand why you chose Naruhodou when the name box is Naruhodo. You could have just posted that screenshot in the first place instead of being a dick, which you continue to be.

I am no expert but It's normal to have a doubt
Even in the japanese artbook they write it "Naruhodo"

This is a valid, polite question (unlike the other), so I'll answer in kind:
There's different ways of romanizing Japanese Words and Names into latin writing. Some of those do dou, some and some drop the long sound and just do do.

You've been impolite and disrespectful, so I answered in kind.

How was I being disrespectful when I was just asking a question and not understanding your decision? You're the one who got hostile about it in the first place.
