I would like to see an app that would allow the user to map certain touch screen actions to the new 3ds c-stick it would be extremely useful for the old ds fps games

Maybe an app to let me go to the past and prevent myself from updating my 3DS like a dumb ass.

But in all seriousness, I would like someone to create a new NES emulator, because 3DNES, FCEUMM3DS and the RetroArch's NEStopia emus are extremely outdated in compared to blargSNES and GameYob. I honestly believe it's possible to make a very responsive and versatile NES emulator, maybe even expanding on 3DNES's source.

I would be very thankful for this.

Maybe a Java interpreter? I don't know if I'm saying something stupid, but this can be a thing

Yes, this can be a thing, since Java uses its own file format (.jar), so it should be more portable.
And since Java runs inside a Virtual Machine, it should be easy to port it to the 3DS.

I'm currently working on an MSIL VM, so you could run .NET applications on your 3DS :P

Well that's awsome. I was thinking that maye a version of the portable virtual machine (that was in use for many phones in the past) can be good in the 3DS...

Probably asked before, I don't know how this all works, but is it possible to make a homebrew app that captures gameplay in video? I know HANS can capture screenshots, but it's likely a completely different process..

I was thinking: Maybe something like hans, but for CFW. I mean, only the part of using a romfs in a retail cartridge, you know. If we had a homebrew doing this without homebrew launcher we could add a romfs to much more games

GW allows you to play roms with modified romFS. Maybe CFW can play modified .CIAs?

CFW can play modded .cias, although you could just install Cubic Ninja .cia or Homebrew Launcher .cia
Well yes, we know that. But if we do that we play with some limits (games not working with homebrew launcher, not only hans), so that's why I'm asking for it

Does not have the same limits? I had in mind that limits was given by 2.5*hax
Gridlauncher kinda is 2.5 hax. is has a slightly lower boot rate, but can otherwise do what hax 2.5 can (plus theres an app launcher in the lower left corner which makes it easy to load an app with region4/HANS [press select on a title])

EDIT: wait, how do you mean "limits"?

So what I was asking still make sence...
