From the official Wiikey website:

A new revision of the Wii motherboard has appeared in some Asian countries. It does not have all the solder points required to install Wiikey with the quicksolder interface. However, Wiikey can still be installed by using a wired install, or quicksoldr + 1 wire. We are working on the installation diagram and will upload it shortly.

Cool, bless em

yes Wiikey is the best wii mod without doubt,

I feel sorry for cyclowiz users who have to wait a fair while before they update their site or even address new issues.

Wiikey rocks and will for quite a while.

Hope they keep up this level of customer support.

Yeah, the wire has to go to the leg of the chip. I saw a diagram somewhere.

As I do not have my Wii yet this is exactly the kind of news I was hoping to hear. The last thing I wanted to hear is that this had some new chipset and we faced a D2B crisis again only on a much more difficult to solve scale.

Cyclowiz addressed issues quickly regarding d2b chipsets and they addressed thier faulty chips issues promptly and even released a manual on how to fix them and said if you try to install i and still it doesnt work we'll take them back. I know everyone slags them off because they promised an update which took a while to come out but the wiikey team isnt quick on fulfilling promises. Almost 3 weeks now since they said the sd dump featue would come.

Did they pin a date for the SD dump release 3 weeks ago? If they didn't, then this ain't the same as CycloWiz and Wiikey has addressed their chip faulty issues quite readily too and they made sure their chip worked with D2B right off the bat so no confusing 2 versions of the same chip in less than a month

From wiikey.cn

"[07.03.05]
We are currently working on the SD Backup feature, all looks fine and we will release it during the coming week. We are carefully listening to eventual issues and will work on an wiikey upgrade which will fix them."

Well thanks for posting that though I suppose nobody cares since Emu_Kidd has already released his version..

We're just waiting for our firmware update like D2B CycloWiz users
