I have an OLD 3DS 10.3EMUNAND 9.2SYSNAND (same with my friends) and installed Smashbros using gateway hack on SD card (i mean not using flashcart but only my sdCARD). I installed also the DLC and updated SMASHBROS to 1.1.3 version(which is the latest i think). I can play online but the problem is I can't seem to play with any of my friends on my friendlist menu. What seems to be the problem here? I think me and my friends have a good net speed in a way but we can't seem to find any solution for this. NEED HELP PLEASE.

This problem also persist on Mario Kart 7(added that u can't play online too) . Haven't tried any other games yet so far except SMASH and MARIOKART online

Ok, last question. I have RxTools installed, successfully have emunand fully updated. However, when I boot Sysnand through RxTools I do not have DevMenu to install .cia's. I want to set up menuhax so I can coldboot into Emunand or whatever. For some reason I cannot enter the HBL when I'm in RxTools sysnand. Any suggestions?

Sorry to be a nuisance since I think you may have answered this question a few posts ago, but I'm looking to upgrade my microSD card in my N3DS. I used a 4gb when installing CFW and now realize it's WAY too small! Is there an easy way to do this? Would I just follow the CFW process from the beginning? Some of this stuff is really confusing to me

I looked at the tutorial mentioned above but it doesn't seem to cover the process from start to finish, just a section of it.

I successfully downgraded 2 of my 3DS's a while ago. But in my O3ds XL, after the downgrade I can't seem to access homebrew using menuhax/browserhax. Can somebody help me?

Edit: I had an emuNAND on it before, but now I formatted emuNAND(using gateway), and it already has two sperate folders, so it's already unlinked? Is that possible?

A file you can entirely ignore it's existence of unless your sysnand / emunand is below firmware 8.x for one. It's basically just another thing for cracking encryptions. Google is your friend to find a download.

Do the following.

1) eject msd from n3ds
2) put it in your pc by whichever means (them old r4 cards came with msd to usb adapters for example, some pcs directly support then or you have sd size adapters as well)
3) create a folder anywhere on your pc (i recommend desktop for easy access) and name it "msd backup"
4) copy ALL. EVERY SINGLE file from your msd into that folder.
5) swap it with your new msd
(Optional) 5A) reformat your msd - see note below
6) copy all the files you just put on your pc onto the new msd
7) done

Note:
As for msd size - 32 gigs is what 3ds supports 'out of the box' since they are always formatted as Fat32. You can buy larger (i personally have 64) but you're gonna have to reformat it from exfat to fat32 at step 5A. Windows will natively not allow you to do this but I've seen various programs which can. I personally used EaseUS Partition Manager but only because I already have a license key for it. (There is also much more lightweight freeware ofc!!)

If you just want to setup menuhax then you don't need to be in rx pasta mode sysnand. Just boot straight into hbl and set it up. If you use mint ctrbootmanager you can do so by holding down A when the hax triggers. That or hold Select for the menu.

Since you don't have menuhax installed yet I recommend the following steps:

1) temporarily remove (or append their names with .bak) any ctrbootmanager files so only keep masher's boot.3dsx or smea's for the hbl.

2) boot 3ds in regular sysnand then get into hbl - be that through cubic ninja, ironfall, oot3d or most probably just browser.

3) set up menuhax.
A) do the menuhax install
B) go down to pad config
C) when asked select Type 2
D) Hold the button that ensures menuhax does NOT trigger then touch the touchscreen (recommended L or R)
4) power of 3ds
5) 're-enable' ctrbootmanager.

Should be all done then.

is it possible to transfer updates games from my o3ds (gateway/emunand 10.3) to my another n3ds xl (gateway/emunand 9.2) so i can play online games ?
I tried to update emunad 9.2 n3ds xl but when i finish he want boot (black screen) i am missing something

Hello there guys.
Im on sysNAND 10.3 and installed all USA and Region Free Legit CIA's on my O3DS and i can play it normally. But I also installed some EUR games and they dont show up at the Home Menu Panel. I can see that they are installed cause i see them on the "Softwares" screen on the 3DS Control Panel.

What can i do?

Unless you are using the new ReiNAND CFW beta, you can't just update your N3DS's emuNAND. If you're using any CFW besides the ReiNAND beta, the highest your N3DS's emuNAND can go is 9.5.0-23.

You can't play out-of-region cias without CFW. You'll need to downgrade and set up CFW to play them.

Hi I've downgraded my o3ds now to 9.2. Now browserhax doesn't work so I can't launch the homebrew channel. What can I do to fix this?

So I'm happy with my Sky3DS, but would like tot est the waters on online play and the like. I've read that in order to go online with backup games and such you need something called custom headers? Can someone explain what these are to me and possibly how to go about setting them up?
