ask reseller for free trade up. mine honored it. said he gets them december 10th.

Wait, wut? Are you yanking our chains? Might you PM me where you did this?

Also, I looked through all the pages here. Has anyone determined for certain that "firmware upgradable" means no more buying new SKY devices every time Nintendo sneezes?

I bought a blue button back in June or July. I figure 3 games and this pays for itself. Might as well upgrade if I want the newest stuff. The NX talk has gone into the wind.

Any Canadians tracked down the cheapest place to buy a orange button sky3ds? wewaware was the best deal when I got my blue card so ill use them again if the same holds true for the orange card, but I want to keep my options open.

already sold the blue card for a profit so the orange card is a free upgrade for me.

I guess i'll just keep the blue button card, and wait for the pink button.
That's right skipping the orange.

Anyways any one know which AP games not working with the blue button?
and what will happen if I put a AP game in the Blue card?

will it kill my 3ds? I don't intend to play online anyways.

The game won't load that's all

This is good news. I'd wait until it's reviewed before I'd consider buying it, but this cart seems to be future proof and easier to use than the last two. That's great.

Nothing in technology is future proof. Nintendo tends to counter everything. Sooner or later you need to be on a specific firmware to play certain games.

Not with Sky3DS. The fact that the cart itself has a USB for updates/upgrades I think make it Future Proof.

Sky wouldn't market 3 cards in a year if they aimed for future proof. Only time will tell if there's a 4th
I think they were forced to do that so that if a game comes out with a slightly different AP method they can counter it. Otherwise people would really get pissed off if the new card let them play five more games than the blue one and then Sky had to make a new card. Even the Sky team probably realises that there's a limit to how much you can piss people off before they stop buying your products out of spite.

Wish that were the case. Their price range vs the fact that there's probably an insane amount of blue buttons lying around. I wonder what would become of that. Wish some sort of a trade in was possible. I don't mind shelling out like $40 for a swap in deal, but the blue buttons price will probably drop hard now. Good for people who want to play older games I guess

I spoke with the people at MyConsola, a local Spanish retailer. They'll get the new cards around the 18th and you can pre-order one by, well, "pre-ordering" a blue button card for €30 (plus whatever more you have to pay later). They don't have any in stock and they won't resupply those, so you get an orange button when it's released. You can cancel your pre-order at any time (although they keep €10 as "administration fees") and you can pay with PayPal.

Pretty good deal if you ask me. If you're Spanish and want a new card, go for it. I bought my blue button a few weeks ago with them and everything went smoothly.

I never was fond of 3ds flashcards but all these new features and functionality along with an affordable price makes me want the Orange Card pretty bad. I think Sky-3ds team got a new customer. :P

You almost had me fooled you were the real deal, but I lost it when you said you were going to make a rainbow edition soon

Lol I hope I won't need a new sky3ds-+- anytime soon. :P
In all seriousness, I'm looking forward. Does anyone know if any of the resellers have preordering available or know when they will be available?

Try modchipcentral. I pre-ordered mine yesterday for $75. The listing shows blue edition but click on the link it will be selling the orange edition and will have stock on the 10th.
