I wouldn't call it random since everytime I did my test the bug happened in the same spot. I recorded my screen while it was trying to download and tried playing it back frame by frame. But because it goes by so fast it's possible that for the 2 files that I saw it freeze on actually froze on the one it tried to download after but my camera was too slow to pick it up. Does the order in which it downloads the same order it shows in the missing images list? If so I will check the file right after the one I saw the freeze on and see if that next one exists but won't download just like the Back to the Future one.

Sounds like you are fine with just reverting the SSL changes which is fine. I'm just going to try a few more things in 1256 just so I can say I tried everything and see if my results are the same.

At the very least we do have one definitive issue with the Back to the Future Full Cover not downloading in either 1256 or 1259mod02. So when you do feel like looking into that bug again that is a good first place to look.

To me it doesn't look like trigger point, more random bugs.
I'll just revert the http code and remove SSL, like I planed.

I'm sure the cover download is not memory safe (buffer overflow), as it downloads the full data stream before attempting to write the file, instead of writing the file chuck by chunk. I might have to rewrite that part, but until then it's easier to just revert it.

Thanks for the tests you did so far, and sorry I didn't used your results. maybe when I'll add ssl again it will be useful.

@ngs428:
Sorry, I don't understand your question. You mean the report for missing covers?
because I don't know what other reports the loader is doing.
I can try to filter by game origin (wii, channel, gc)

I am referring to when you click on the game count on the main screen and it prompts to export the game list as a csv or txt. I am looking to see if it is possible to have a column in that generated report for identifying the game as Wii or GameCube. Sorry for the confusion.

I've never used that before but I think a simple work around would be to tick the box so it will only show Wii games and then generate the list. Save that list somewhere, tick the box to only display GameCube games then generate the list again. If my thinking is correct, you should then have 2 lists, one with Wii games and another with GameCube. Like I said, I've never tried this before and it's just an idea so let me know if it actually worked for you.

My request to add the column was my first idea, then what you stated was going to be my next try if the column could not be added. Not even sure if it works though.

I haven't read nintendont thread for past 6 months, but no users said anything about compatibility.
1255 had issue with v372 (or something like that) but I didn't check why.

with latest usbgx update, and with latest nintendont, I didn't get any report. I don't know if it's because there's no more issue or because they didn't report another time.

you can keep your current nintendont's boot.dol and download latest to try.
it's very easy from USBGX:

1. user paths > nintendont : create a new folder (when editing the path, click on the top-left icon to create a folder)
2. features > update nintendont : it will download latest release to the new folder and use it for your games.

if it doesn't work, revert the path and you'll still have previous nintendont version.

Personally, I'm doing this for every updates instead of replacing the previous dol, this way I can easily revert or even use different version per game (individual settings).

Updated to USBLoaderGX R1259 and Nintendont 3.379 played a couple games and it worked well.

Do the original retail versions work? If so it's probably an issue with the modifications.

Same here although I'm using a r1259 that I modified to remove the themedownloader and Wiinnertag since they no longer work and are wasting memory. :P

Never mind. I found out the problem. I am using internet connection at my home Right now, I am not at home. I am at TRP (Therapist Rehab Program) (If you notice ip address different between my home and TRP.) and didn't use internet connection. First time it work fine load. Then second time load work fine. So I have to turn it off internet connection on my Wii to use two wii hack games at my home. I am going get off now because someone need use this computer.

@Cyan Can you lock my thread that I posted? I found the problem and already solved it.

@Badablek That looks pretty cool. I think I might try it out. Did you create this tab mod and do you always keep it up to date with Cyan's official releases? Is there anything not in your mod that is in the official releases? Do you have your own thread for this mod where I can ask more questions if I think of any? Thanks.

This mod was originally made by Garfunkiel some years ago (2012), I only tweaked it a little and compiled the binaries with this mod everytime a new revision was made by Cyan
the source patch applies over the official sources and contains exactly the same things as USBLoader GX, but with tabs.

ps : Garfunkiel reappeared some time ago and opened a github repo : https://github.com/Garfunkiel/usbloader-gx-tabmod

It's not on the official release because it's a "dirty" modification.
It works fine, it's not dirty in the sense of bad coding, but in the sense that it's forcing the user to only Wii OR gamecube OR wiiware (emu only?), not a mix of both. if you edit the source manually it also mess the tab (I suppose the current tab will list multiple sources? but gong back to it will reset it). If I'm not mistaken it's only on a single layout (banner layout) and existing themes are not compatible, you need to move the top menu to the bottom like on his screenshot.

I wanted to implement it properly, but thought it would be best after 3.1 release. (4.0 would have a graphical overall change, new settings layout, tab and user profile, etc.)
But I might expect more than what I could ever do. or it will take me too long to do it anyway.

I thought maybe I could integrate that "tabmod" officially, but as an optional build parameter in the makefile. Badablek could finally stop updating and providing his build for each release :P
thanks for your support anyway :)
