I'm sorry but I ran into another issue. Now I can get on the eshop (making progress,) but trying to open smash has the same results: preparing update, then error 105-4207. I even tried deleting the update/all save data and it still gives me "preparing update," I can't even get into the game at all

you can disregard the update, if your using tubehax dns it will fail to update and star aplication anyway, if you dont want the error just do the latest wup install update for smash.

you cant update any game on e shop, you need to follow wup installer guide, download the latest update with nusgrabber put it on the sd card and install it with the wup installer, there is no automatic way to install gameupdates that work for 5.5.0 spoof.

I am thinking about to get myself a Wii U Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon Bundle in the next couple of days.

This Bundle has these 2 games as Downloadable Content (Keys) included and will i be able to download the games from the eShop and play these games Online if i spoof it from 5.3.2 to 5.5.0?

Okay so I've been told I need to spoof to 5.5.0 in order to use the other program to access the eshop, will Loadiine still work if I'm spoofed to 5.5.0? The topic says 5.3.2 only.

Just a tad intimidated by the thread saying the spoof is permenant, I don't want to lock myself out of anything.

5.5.0 Spoof is still 5.3.2... Thus why it's called a spoof.

Yesterday i did the spoof to 5.5.0 and worked fine. The kernel freeze's the WiiU sometime, but finally worked after some tries. Well, i downloaded the Fatal Frame Trial, witch worked fine, and i keep wondering about the pre-load, as i said, for Xenoblade X. Well, what i'm curious about if someone tried to pre-load an game before, like Mario Maker, and the activation of the game worked fine on the release date. I'm note sure, but i remember when i pre-loaded Smash the activation of the game on the release date happened with an update of the game itself, witch, in the case of the spoof could be a problem because applying an update in a game in a 5.3.2 WiiU works only with the WUP Installer. I want to buy Xenoblade X, it's the main reason why i got an WiiU, but at the same time i don't want to loose the loadiine. Here in Brazil it's extreme complicated to get an disc copy of an WiiU game, so the eShop it's the only viable possibility.

Honestly I think you should just wait for the official release, would suck to preorder only for eshop access to be blocked before you can unlock the game

Xenoblade additional packs are released as DLC, right?
if you plan to buy the disc, you can always pre-load the DLCs to speed up the loading time.
instead of pre-loading the full game from eshop and expecting an update to unlock it, I guess the DLC would not need any unlock as launching the disc is what unlock them. So even if they block eshop access before xenoblade release, you will already have the DLCs.

Download the DLC right now, it's free. (available only on USA eshop?)

Thank you for the answer. Well, i tried to download the DLC's, they are on the download manager, but they aren't downloading, probably because of the url's blocks in my router. The Fatal Frame Trial worker, but the DLC's don't. i belive that DLC and paid content somehow work different.

My configuration is:

DNS: Automatic

Blocked url's:

nus.c.shop.nintendowifi.net
nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi -> this one was suppose to be nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net, but there is a limite size of the url in my router and it fits only nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi
nus.cdn.shop.wii.com
nus.cdn.wup.shop.nintendo.net
nus.wup.shop.nintendo.net
cbvc.cdn.nintendo.net

i'm afraid to remove this configuration do download the DLC and the firmware update file download automatic, locking my WiiU for the loadiine.

Any tips?

Try setting up the tubehax dns then disabling your url blocking, if you have the failed update notification at the top of your download list just reset the console and the rest of the downloads should continue

Thank's it's working. I had to delete the DLC from the download manager, access the eShop again and click to download the DLC one more time. I just hope that the firmware update don't download together (it's not showing in the download manager, but, how knows if it's not downloading in background).

Whats the title version of the latest super smash bros update? I've installed the 2gb update already but it still asks to update.... How do you find them? I've checked everything on title database but I cannot tell which is the latest.

I installed v176 last week and it worked fine.
I'll check if there's a new version.

two methods to check latest version :
1. Nusgrabber.exe
run nusgrabber 0005000E10145000
stop the program (don't download 2GB)
open the tmd file (it's not renamed to title.tmd yet) in hexeditor and read 2 bytes at 0x1DC in big endian

2. Tagaya servers

it will either display in your browser or download a file. open the file in your text editor:
