I have a question regarding OoTHax. First let me share some information about my current setup.
N3DS 9.9.0.26EU. I came from Tubehax. Installed Menuhax with *hax 2.5. (I'm asuming i got it to run 2.5 seeing how i get a green screen on loading menuhax, as well as beeing able to put 3DS in sleep mode, and having a working eShop).
Before updating to *hax2.5 I managed (via Tubehax) to install the ironhax fork found
here on GBAtemp to my EU OoT cartridge. The hax worked flawlesly. Taking me to homebrew launcher each time.
Now after updating to *hax2.5, and trying to install the
newer version (both online and offline versions) of OoThax I seem to be stuck.
As many have mentioned in this thread it results in beeing returned to home screen. I have also tried to use the 2.1 payload from themehax (per recommendation in this thread). Usually both screens show gibberish when it tries to load the hax. I even tried using savemanager to import the new payload to the save.
After a few failed attempts, I decided to download the version I first used. But this one will not load either. I deleted the save and presumably ran the same installer I used the first time I got OoThax to work.
I figured I would give it a go on a 3DS with Tubehax. But I see its defunct as Nintendo wants me to update the app.
Is it because of the newer Starterkit, that the old OoThax no longer works? (I don't know what differences there are in boot.3ds from the older starterkit to the new one)
If that in fact can be the cause, can I safely download a older starterkit, boot into HBL using Menuhax/Themehax (which i currently think is on hax*2.5), and run the old OoT installer? Thus, possibly making the OoT an entry way. Allowing me to install Menuhax on my other 3DS?
I hope I made some sense
Edit: I realize now. Maybe the OoT pack on github i belive to be the old one, has been updated? And in fact, I'm not downloading the old one anyway?
