OK, here is a version of Windows script for fw 9.3+ http://nintendozone.no-ip.org/nzone.exe
Instuctions are the same as for nzone.vbs, but 3DS connection settings is not needed, just launch like nzone.exe start BASE256 and 3DS will detect the zone by itself. Though SSID is different and streetpass data seems not relayed between MACs it may take some time to get a streetpass. I personally filled BASE16 range, so keep trying and report.

Glad you are here.
Start to try, with 3 3DS (1 EU 9.4, 1 EU 9.2, 1 JAP 9.2) in BASE16. The 3DS JAP tag the 2 others. The EU 9.2 tag the 9.4.
Start trying in BASE256.
Thanks for everything.

Hi Duke, what is the situation on the dd-wrt script? When I was on here, I think I did v2, can you please update your post for people who just started from scratch again. This whole thread seems to have got quite a bit further since I initially looked at this with you.

For dd-wrt everything is working with no access point security for any 3ds firmware version. Guide on page 10 is up to date for dd-wrt.

I keep getting this. Norton removes it before I get a chance. Even if I turn off Norton.

So wifi as attifi, and no security only mac filter is fine then? How is this new script working? Should it show up fine when not connected to the internet? as in does it get a list of mac addresses from the net before it is able to do its thing? I've tried to install the new mac script and nothing seems to change. I remember having to do something before, before it worked for me, did the stopservice cron and startservice, no success. Did a manual */5 * * * * root /tmp/nzone and nothing either. Not sure how your script works as I even try to open it on vi and it seems to not show anything. Very confused.

So, here's whats going on.
For some reason I have internet access. But no Nintendo Zone access. In the rare chance i do have NZ access, I don't get a streetpass.
I tried both attwifi and NZ@McD1. With and without virtual router.
For some reason I can't get nzone.vbs or nzone.exe to work. I've turned off Norton. Nothing seems to be working.
I believe I messed up somewhere, but can't seem to figure out where.

I would like to start over but this just seems hopeless.
If anyone has the time and patience. Please help, with a "Streetpass at Home for Dummies" guide.

Hey, works fine for me, but i still have a final question regarding security.
Is there anything else we can do to protect the homepass network? Mac filter is no really save :s
Would a whitelist with all required ips from the nintendo server be possible or do they change?

Current Setup

www <-1-> fritzbox <-2-> dd-wrt router (homepass)

I enabled Access Restriction for the dd-wrt router on my fritzbox, but thats just a basic black list and not much protection.
The dd-wrt router has a mac filter that only permits my 3ds, max associated clients and max dhcp clients is set to 1.

Did a three hours (7/10 pm) long marathon with base 256 and the setup stated early (win8.1, used nzone.exe with a 3DS 9.4.021-E .
Just met only two people, it's normal?

No problem here with windows antivirus. If someone have problem try to google how to add exception to your antivurs.

Hi, I downloaded the new exe file and run it with cmd and the answer was SWebmObject. The hostednetwork did not start by itself, so I allowed the hosted network with cmd and the network named ConsoleNintendo3DS appeared, however no StreetPasses

I've got access to nintendozone (with fw 9.4)
I only tag my other 3ds once when i start nzone.exe.
I start with "nzone.exe start base256" but i don't know if it's realy cycling over MACs.
By the way i will keep trying today.

Rocket0634 there is nothing I can do with that, make an exception in the antivirus settings.

Karalis this is normal, you just need to wait for the others to use this method with the same MACs and the similar wireless adapter (because of the MAC modification in different drivers). The streetpasses you've got is only limited to this method users, so you're few now, but people will come because there is and most probably won't be other way to homepass from windows on fw 9.3

XiaoHuoLong you just need to wait for others to come with the same MAC address range, because actually BASE256 gives different addresses depending on the wireless driver.

GrooBdx you can check the actual MAC by netsh wlan show hostednetwork
