Just so you all know (especially the news poster) - the DS hardware (arm9, DS slot, the extra screen space) is ENTIRELY inaccessible from GBA mode, meaning that the slower/low powered GBA mode of the DS will never be used to access the DS Slot.

That's what I thought but what the hell is that GBA slot USB linker thing? Perhaps it's something entirely different that got mixed up with this product?

If their Slot1 card had expandable memory, I'd say it was a way to implement some sort of memory/RAM to run GBA on, as well as an interface to link to the cart (and perhaps store the cart writing software). Probably more expensive in the long run then just creating a standard linker that the DS cart would plug into, unless there are more reasons than just linking that it would be used for (rumble/RAM/etc) - it looks suspiciously like a GBA flash cart though.

Seems to be the same company as the previous UltraFlashPass/Ninjapass(original)/NDS1:1 etc. The chinese page at dsgba.com just shows the same products as NDSGBA, including the yellow SD Slot2 (which was also sold as a fake supercard, yknow).

I don't know if the same guys are trying to distance themselves from their bad reputation by dropping a single letter off the company name, or if it's just two somewhat affiliated outfits or what. but, yeah, it's definitely part of this whole somewhat shady NDSGBA operation, and as such probably not something you'd want to touch with a ten foot pole. Unlike Ninjapass, I might add, who seem to have pretty successfully got away from all of that shit with the X9.

oh, this is the same as GD-Flash announced a while back. check the menu and PC software pics, they're more or less identical.

The DS slot cannot be accessed in GBA mode but you can access the GBA slot in DS mode.

I think it is easier to plug a USB cable into the slot 2 pack than to remove the flashcart and insert it into a reader. I think this is why they changed it.

It has to be a lot slower that way tho... think about it. 30 seconds to take your MicroSD card out and plug it in and 10 seconds to transfer a rom... or 2 seconds to plug in the usb port and 2 minutes to transfer the rom.

the latest news from NDSBBS
Ncard is on sale today!Email address:[email protected] phone number:0816-6020602(in China)
1Gbit=128Mbyte ?DSlinker+1Gcard+USBMINI? 168?(21$)

4Gbit=512Mbyte ?DSlinker+4Gcard??+USBMINI? 299?(36$)

8Gbit=1Gbyte ?DSlinker+8Gcard+USBMINI? 399?(50$)
the GBA slot USB linker thing is:like GBALINKZIP series,you use the linker to flash the roms directly into the Ncard.(of course,you can buy the cardreader instead)
simply insert the linker in the GBA slot,the other end in the PC's usb port,OK,GO.
the linker only supports usb1.1,which mean it takes approximately 2mins to install a 512m game.
due to some problems in the design,the cardreader is not included in the box.but maybe it will be provided later.
they released the blueprint of the linker for diyers urllinker
PS:news from official bbs:the updated version is recognized as a removabe media on Windows,and now it support drag$drop,no need for software.

Is that supposed to say there is NO need for software?
that's true.
but the new version(so called win-pda version) is under test.
it uses a fat file system
support many homebrews(DSorganize,moonshell, etc)
drag&drop feature(Ctrl+C&Ctrl+V)
an alternative with a TF card will soon be out
plus the picture of the box!

Is anyone else using this yet?
I've got one, and I'm pretty happy with it so far.
It doesn't support GBA ROMS unfortunately, only DS.
Also, I can't save a few different games, or maybe I just haven't figured out how yet.

Nevermind, I figured out how to do it.
For anyone else that's wondering it's quite simple.
When you're on the 3D icon you just just push Select + Left, Right to change the save options.
