Hacking Touch Screen not working

Ok the touch screen on my DS phat has just stopeed working, the screen is still working ie you can still see the games,just you can not touch it for input.

Do I need a new screen or is it something easy to fix.

Alsowhere can I get the screwdriver to open the DS up, will any hardware shop sell them. I am in the UK.

Sounds like you need to get a warranty replacement. DO NOT try to fix the touch screen yourself. You'd just void your warranty.

its out of warrenty, it was my sisters and she give my little lad it because she got a DS lite.

Anyway it looks like if I can open the case I can try to fix it.

I seen on ebay where you can get replacement touchscreens.

So anyone know where to get the screwdriver from in the UK.

Try using a 3/64 in (approx 1.2 mm I beleive) slotted screw driver. Works like a charm for me.

Mines just stopped working! Had it about a year now, I haven't got the box or the receipt so I'm not sure if I can get the big N to replace it.

Try clearing the sides of the touchscreen (under the casing) out. The touch screen may be constantly pressed down on the side, hence it does not work when pressed at any other point.
