Games that require use of the GBA slot or other peripherals cannot be played on the New 3DS/New 3DS LL. But other DS/DSi games can.

At the very bottom:

Also, the description for the game slot card on the Specs page for the New 3DS models says, "You can also use DS/DSi cards."

Bro your Raichu is adorable I feel like reaching into the game & taking my Raichu out :)

Unless Super 3DS / New 3DS / 3DSi LL/XL's internet blocks gbatemp I am not dropping $0.29 for it. This what they did for the wii kinda they charged $5 for Internet. They kinda realised that was a bad plan so they gave you a free $5 game. So to you know what game costs $0.29?

I highly doubt older 3DS games will be able to utilize the new hardware beyond what the original 3DSs were capable of, outside of a patch for each game being released specifically to utilize it. I'm going off of previous examples (DSi and GBC) where DS/GB games could be played in the DSi/GBC but they would run in a legacy mode and run the game as if they were being ran on the DS/GB. That said, I doubt there would be anything stopping developers, beyond cost of development and release, from releasing a patch to allow the game to utilize the new 3DS's hardware capabilities.

How many games have had support for the circle pad pro added on?

I was just saying it's a possibility. Is there much stopping developers? Just time and money. Will they actually do it? Probably not.

Some people were curious whether or not the new processor would benefit older 3DS games. Going from Nintendo's history, I gave the possible circumstance that it could. The only thing stopping developers from doing that is time and money, which is enough to stop most developers.

i doubt new CPU will help existing 3DS game. if anything this'll be like DSi. When you run DS game on DSi the speed is locked to DS speed. Same thing with 3DS.

edit: NakedFaerie, BOTH models have the added nub! You almost had me for a second.

Though I can see why you got confused. The first post makes it seem like only the LL has it.

Yea, the first post is misleading. But compare the Circle Pad Pro to this and you would rather the CPP as its a bigger analog not the tiny button sized analog. And its in a stupid position, not going to be easy to use.
Nintendo have never had a good controller. The WiiU gamepad is really uncomfortable, the WiiMote is stupid as its square and really not built for comfort. so a stupid design is something only nintendo would come up with.
So the new ones will get a 2nd analog stick. Now will they patch older games to support the 2nd analog? And if they do will those patched games also support the CPP?

Lies.
The GameCube controller is amazing.
The Wii U Pro Controller fits perfectly in your hands.
The Wii U GamePad isn't bad at all. ;)
I really like the Nintendo 64 controller. It's very comfortable to hold.
The SNES controller is very enjoyable to play games with, as well.

I wouldn't say never, SNES and GameCube had great controllers in my opinion. That said, that doesn't mean they don't design uncomfortable or bad controls most of the time.

New 3DS should have either 64 games or remake(which many don't like). Well is the specs good enough to emulate N64. Does the ARM problem still affect the chances? What about DSThree because DSTwo introduces GBA games to DS Flashcarts.

Cause Nintendo needs to make this....

So, is it Micro SD only or can normal SD cards be inserted? I have a 64GB card for my current 3DS XL , really don't wanna have to pay for yet another SD card.
