it's already made save data! on all the saves

On the WiiU?

Because they won't let you copy a save to a system that's never had the game played on it before for some reason. Same thing happens if you try to transfer saves manually between two Wiis. If the 2nd Wii has never played that game and saved, it will not let you copy.

it's not possible to do this:

i only have 1 lan cable. and can't use wireless

They don't mean they both have to be connected at the exact same time, haha. Connect one, transfer to SD, connect the other, transfer to vWii. I'm not sure where your no wireless rule came from, but why can't you just use a switch or router to share a wired connection? Not that you need to do this like I said.

Play your game once (on the WiiU, not the Wii, despite what it says) making sure you get to a point where it makes save data. Exit the game. Delete the save data from the WiiU. Now you can copy Wii the save from your SD card onto the WiiU.

Annoying, time consuming pain, yes. Complicated to the point where you should give up, no.

I was with the same situation and is a good solution!
Maybe is slow but is simple...
Thanks!!

What a coincidence, I was just coming here to ask how to transfer copy protected saves to my Wii U from my Wii, and this is the most recent updated thread.

Anyway, can anyone help me out. I'd like to transfer my Mario Kart Wii save to my Wii U, but since it's copy protected I can't

no, when I try to Move/Copy it to my Wii U, it's greyed out. even if I click "Move" or "Copy" when their greyed out, I get a message saying something like "cannot copy this file".

I got the save on my SD card, by using priiloader to disable the no copy protection on my Wii, but now I have no way of getting it on my Wii U

Put homebrew on your vWii, use a save copy program.

is it possible to say just put a wii save file on an SD card and transfer it over to Vwii without using that inbuilt transfer all or nothing program? i just want my prime save on the wiiu so i don't have to unlock the fusion suit all over again...
You can just use an SD card
