I seriously havn't heard anyone successfully update their M3 Lite to v29, and that's bad. Something in the v29 update is messed up, leaving it to hang on your ds, when you cut it off, your M3's firmware is partcially flashed, leaving it bricked, and not having the ability to reflash it.
I've also heard alot, that v28 updates hangs, but is safe to turn off, because it actully fully writes to the cartridge before it hangs.
So hey M3 team, what's going on with your updates?

I have the same problem as you. I have returned the m3 lite back to Divineo.com and got another replacement. The same problem occurs after I update to v29 (downloaded from m3adapter.com). Right now, I can't even apply any version of firmware to it. It will pop out a message saying that
"Please use English version update file for this card. Update file language version error!"
When I tried update firmware v29 in NDS mode (Passcard 3 insert), after passed the passcard screen, the black screen occurs. (Firmware v29 - updagcsd.e29)
So does it means my replacement m3lite is bricked again???
Btw, my microSD is Sandisk 1GB (Tried Format FAT, FAT32) still the same... nothing works.
...just out of curiosity, did you follow the error messages advice and update with an -English- version of the firmware?
Also, did you use the *same* upgrade file that bricked your previous m3 on your new m3?
I am not sure what your situation is, but here is a quick story that is in no way related to you. (Seriously not related to you. I re-read it and it *could* be read as a sarcastic remark. But this seriously happened to a seriously different person. ...seriously.)
I know a moron who got an m3, and he tried to update the firmware. But instead of reading the directions, he did what he likes to call a "trial-and-error" update. Needless to say, he screwed it up. (And for some reason, the dumbass was surprised by this.)
I know it is manly and all *not* to read the directions, but when you can brick expensive hardware, the "trial-and-error upgrade method" is stupid as hell.
...back to you, either you did not read the directions, or you are pretty unlucky.
