ok this is my problem:1) instead of local network connection 2 ,it says wireless network connection 2 (which is a microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter) .
2) although i ve done all things mentioned, when i start the mac cycler.exe (normal edition) both my ''Wi-Fi''(wireless connection 1 ) and ''attwifi'' (wireless connection 2) get disabled automatically...why ? any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

The connection named Wi-Fi should be your adapter. The 2nd one, named "Wireless Network Connection" (or whatever, it should have the attwifi SSID) should be the access point you created by using the "netsh wlan set" command. Now, if they are turned off for whatever reason, you should double check and enable them in the adapter settings in Network and Sharing Center.

Then retry the start command.

pavlos, did it work before?

Try typing in "netsh wlan show drivers" and look for a string saying "Hosted Network Support". If it says no, your wifi card doesn't support creating virtual APs.

it worked because 3ds successfully connected with it but since i launched the program it was disabled...

For me the attwifi works fine even the 3DS can detect the Nzone and it can connect to the Internet
but the StreetPass won't work
I've tried every single method there is but with no avail
the mac of the wifi adapter get changed but the 3ds won't get anything from that
however the virtual AP's mac address always remain the same.
I don't know if it should change or not but for some reason it doesn't
please help me I've been trying for a almost a week know
I'm in country where I can't find any 3DS around until know I only have one street pass from a person that we arrange to meet to exchange it

You're close, but something isn't sticking. How are you connecting, through wi-fi or ethernet?

I have a problem. Everytime the cycle begins my adapter is turned on and off and the program just blinks so i can't change the mac adress. Even the debugger crashed.

If anyone wants to try it, I have another MAC for North American (And possibly more) users people can use: BELLWIFI@MCDONALDS (All caps, no spaces) will work. If someone wants to try cycling through MAC addresses with it, I'll probably find them (Or they find me) on there.

Update:

I got it working, it seems, atleast manually.
Basically using macshift and the codes posted here.

First steps:
use macshift to change the MAC of Wi-Fi adapter to one of the list (One that Im 100% sure hasnt been used today, 4F at the end).
use netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=attwifi key=password
usenetsh wlan start hostednetwork
Share the LAN connection with the Wireless connection.
Emptied all connections on 3DS and searched for new access, attwifi, found it, set it up.
Exited settings, got the Nintendo-zone notice and saw the blue internet logo top-left. Closed the 3DS, got a streetpass 20-30 seconds later.

Next steps:

Stopped the hostednetwork service with stop command.
Used Macshift to change MAC of Wi-Fi to another unused MAC (4E at the end).
Started hostednetwork again with start command.
Opened the 3DS and waited for a good 5 minutes, stayed on Streetpass logo. Nothing happened. At this point, connection tests to the access point on the 3DS fail. Kept all settings unchanged (password).

Stopped the hostednetwork again with stop command.
This time also changed the MAC of the "Wireless Network Connection" to the same MAC as the "Wi-Fi" (4E at end).
Started the hostednetwork again.

Opened the 3DS again. BAM Internet connection and streetpass received.

EDIT:

I triple checked by doing the last steps: Stopped hostednetwork, changed both Wi-Fi and Wireless Network Connection to a new MAC (4D at end), restarted hostednetwork, got internet and streetpass 20 seconds later.

How do you edit the hosted virtual network's MAC address? I type the name (I changed mine to 3DS) and typed
c:\macshift -i "3DS" 4E53504F4F46 while it was running and it just closes the connection. I also tried with the connection stopped, changing the MAC address, restarting the connection, but the MAC address didn't change.
I'm using Windows 8

you entered something like this to change your mac address :
c:\macshift -i "3DS" 4E53504F4F41 ?

Here is what I've done:
macshift is installed in c:\
Ethernet is shared with the virtual '3DS' connection

I've also tried changing the mac address of the virtual '3DS' connection while it is running. This forces it to stop. I then restarted the hostednetwork but the MAC address has returned to the above values.

You don't change the MAC address of the virtual router, you change the MAC address of Wi-Fi.

Actually, even though this whole HOW-TO states you should change the MAC of "Wi-Fi", I actually have to change both "Wi-Fi" and the attwifi connection to the same MAC in order to make the 3DS reconnect to the access point after a MAC change.

I'lle check to see what the MAC really is after changing both when I get home (assuming it hasn't been fixed by then).

Also, I've borrowed someone's script and edited to an extent that it will cycle through a bunch of MACs using the above steps (which is necessary for me to even get it going). Good stuff.

Oh, which reminds me: In that script, I use this order:

1. Turn off the connection with "netsh wlan stop hostednetwork"
2. Change "Wi-Fi" MAC with macshift
3. Change "Wireless Network Connection" (In your case "3DS") MAC with macshift
4. reconfigure the hostednetwork, but with the same credentials as last time: "netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=attwifi key=password"
5. Start the hostednetwork again with "netsh wlan start hostednetwork".

It's all really delicate and specific at my place, apparently :P.
