I've got StreetPass Relay to work using my Android, but I've noticed that I'm not getting SMTIV hits even if I use the SMTIV/FE/EO4 MAC address. I think it's because SMTIV has region-locked StreetPass since the only time I did get it was on another MAC address from another Japanese 3DS. (If that's the case, I apologise to the person who used the SMTIV/FE/EOF MAC and got me instead...!) I'm not certain yet but I think it's the case, since I've StreetPassed people with other versions of SMTIV (spotted them holding the game in the plaza) and gotten no tags from the game itself.

Would it be possible to have a couple of MAC addresses reserved for specific regions only? (I also want to get more pink pieces for the Chibi-Robo puzzle which seems to only be out in Japan so far...)

I'm in the process of acquiring the Chibi Robos pieces. I'll send you a PM.

That may be the case, but I've also had this issue with an actual NA 3DS that I streetpassed (when trying to recreate the problem), and the only streetpasses I've ever received for SMT4 were from Japanese consoles.

If you're in the 4th stratum, you have just a little more (if I remember correctly) before you can activate DDS.

I'll quote myself of the post I made on the How To, seems like most people here are not visiting that thread and I'm having an issue on Windows:

I did every step for Windows 7 and my 3DS can't connect to the internet when I change the MAC but when the MAC is the original, it goes online.

When I change the MAC, the laptop's one changes, as you can see at bottom but the Wifi Miniport Adapter doesn't change. Maybe that's the issue and I don't know what to do:

also, i saw here :https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...Gp0UkZlenp6SkJablE&f=true&noheader=true&gid=3

about a list o people who cant spoof their mac addresses...im one of them. whom should i refer to so that i give him my mac address to enlist it as well? ps: i hope there wont be any chance of other people hack to my router right?

a Mac address doesn't give anyone anything, editing/hiding it for pictures is silly. About the only thing it does let other people see is who your router/device/network card is made by, in the first 3 octets... which are called the OUI.
Maybe certain last 3 octets are sent certain places, but no one knows, and it's likely that they're just assigned sequentially at the factory.

Also contact Tane to get added to that list. His email's on the spreadsheet.

Has anyone been able to get this running with a Raspberry Pi?

I was able to follow the guide and get the connection sharing working, and I was able to connect my 3DS and have the notification that the Nintendo Zone was available at this location. http://learn.adafruit.com/setting-up-a-raspberry-pi-as-a-wifi-access-point/install-software

The problem I ran into is the Edimax Nano Wifi Adapter I bought doesn't allow me to change the MAC address under Linux. I was able to connect the adapter to my Windows PC and macshift is working fine, but I'd really like to have the raspberry pi working so I can have that going rather than manually changing the mac and restarting virtual router.

If you have a Raspberry Pi working could you post which Wifi adapter you have? I'd rather not end up going through several adapters before finding one that works.
