Hacking Help I bricked my Wii

4.3 is the latest system menu version.

It originally came out in June 2010 and then there was another update in September 2010 as well.

Any major release game made after those dates should have a 4.3 update on the disc.

So I should also pick up some newer game when I am at gamestop? would super smash brothers have that update on it?

I'm not sure if that one does or not.

Do some google searches and see if you can find any discs that have the update.

The one i know that does it metroid other M.

I would try other Nintendo released games that came out after those dates.

Not sure if those have 4.3 or not but i would assume they would.

Also, to be able to use SaveMiiFrii, you need to dissemble your gamecube controller and remove the protective sheet under the D-Pad. By doing this, you are able to press all 4 directions of the D-Pad at the same time.

There is nothing that can fix your wii. You can not get it into recovery mode. Your wii is fucked and can not be fixed. Sell it for spare parts and get a new wii and don't make the same mistake.

All they have to do is check uid.sys and they'll know it was hacked. Even if you revirginize your Wii, the factory installed titles will no longer be registered and they'll still cite tampering. If you were able to install a fake uid.sys file, it wouldn't have the proper file attributes or permissions, so no help from Nintendo.

Get a used Wii; hacked consoles should be considered expendable.

Recovery mode requires a working system menu, and you do not have one.

ok fair enough.. I might pick up a gamecube controller just to see.. I not sure if I missing them completely..

When downgrading and installing what I downloaded fron nus it failed at that point. Though I guess whatever was there would be overridden durring that process.

You could also get a working NAND chip right.. like if down the road I wanted to try to fix up the busted wii. pull off the messed up one soder in a new one.

No. I told you that there is no way to fix this wii. PERIOD!!! There is NOTHING that you can do to fix it. You will be wasting your money on a gamecube controller. It is perma-bricked. Not even god himself/herself can fix it. Nintendo can not even fix it. No one can fix it.

I was mostly loading from an sdcard.. I did get the homebrew channel installed with letterbomb. But now i can't get to they system menu..

still, you can install priiloader

I got a used wii yesterday at gamestop.. letterbombed it again.. then did a NAND backup for good messure. Then loaded the prrloader hat went fine.. then went on to put the USB related hacks on there.

I am now fully up and running. Thanks everyone for the help, now I just need a classic controller
