hello everyone,

basically my first flash card/cable arived a few hours ago, but i cant get it to write roms to the cart. i have a a printer port-gba cable, with "magic flash" software. when i attempt to write, i get incomprehensible error type message. i have also downloaded and tried "little writer" and got a "no linker found message" when attempting to write.

my kit can be seen here

hope this is the right place to ask,

thanks. kieran.

I can't really make out what is printed on the card in the picture. What does the card say? Also, one end of the cable is a printer port connection, what does the other end look like? Anything like a usb connection? Back to the printer port thing, it may just be a setting within Little Writer to set the correct printer port address.

Edit:It looks like it came from
http://www.gameswebshop.net/product_info.p...653d57dde96215b
and it just seems odd that they would opt to use LPT instaid of USB. it actually looks a lot like this card.

This card is obviously not made by Games Web Shop but has a special label just for them. I may well be the EZ=Flash advance.

ive tried all four port address (is that what they are called?) in the options menu of magic flash, but still the same strange error message. do you need drivers for devices like these? if so, can someone link me or upload them?

thanks again,
kieran.
