Hacking How to convert things to ps3 - need help

So, I found out that with the new custom firmware versions came new functionalities [or things that I never paid attention to]

What I want to try and do is this:

*Convert psp game to play it on ps3

*Convert ps2 game to play it as ps2 classics on ps3

*Convert ps2 memory card save to use it on ps3 internal MC management

My ps2 is hacked, so no problems extracting the saves from there. I'm sure I even have a backup. somewhere.

I know I need to get some programs/homebrew [working on getting the classics manager homebrew for ps3], but things are getting confusing. If anyone can at least direct me to some tutorials with working links, I'd be grateful!

Thanks, that site gave me much more than what I've asked for, but I can't actually use the converters. Maybe the isos I'm using are in bad shape? I've tried some translated games for both ps2 and psp, and neither converter did anything. Each game works fine on their respective system and/or emulator. [ps2, last time I checked the namco x capcom disc was working. Made an iso out of it and it worked on the ps2 emulator...]

before anything check if your PS3 is on 4.3X cfw (the ps2 emu there has been tweaked a lot since 3.xx) so yes.

then check if you're able to validate content on your PS3 (like PS2 classics, officially signed PKGs that requires your ps3 and user data to allow decrypting those PKGs). or simply check if you've been on PSN before or you have an act.dat file on your /dev_hdd0 PS3 filesystem (look for a tutorial on activating content through reactPSN): In other words, rogero has trouble validating content on 4.2X cfws, but rebug 4.30.2 has been truly amazing.

i followed a guide by installing a simple PKG (which seems to be a placeholder for PS2 games), activated it through reactPSN. then:

you need the ISO of the PS2 game you want to run (if it runs off emus/real ps2, then you're ok), it needs to be encrypted.

that encrypted ISO goes inside the placeholder dir the PKG created.

then you run the app from XMB and it'll run (tested on a cech slim 2001-a, definitely a slim)

as for PSP, i've tried a few days back running tales of eternia (psp), it worked but had troubles saving, there are save patches (depending on the converter), and some people said team cobra had a PSP emu patched so both compatibility/saves are working much better.

I already have a PSP so PSP emu wasn't much important to me..

Hmm, I'm on 4.20.2 Rebug, I think. No real problem here, I can update... But I need a new react psn - the one I had before on 3.55 stopped working.

Anyway, my problems here are...

1: The psp games I tried to convert seem to be on the not-working list for now... so I gave up on them until the compatibility increases. [just my luck]

2: The ps2 converter tool ON MY COMPUTER doesn't seem to be able to convert the iso! I'm trying on a Namco X Capcom TRANSLATED game [with the extra splash screens, I think it's the only translation available for it] and the program says it can't convert the iso.
I've tried with Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, also translated... I get "invalid number of arguments for encryption" error on both.
Kingdom Hearts 1, untouched iso, same result.

The converter asks for the addition of a LIMG sector to the end of the image file, and if I say "no", it does nothing, so I accept it and immediately afterwards, it gives me the encryption error. Am I missing something?

Captain-CPSX said he's working on a manager that will play both PSP and PS2. You will not have to convert anything (or it will be done by the console i dunno)...
I'd rather just hold on a little to save myself some work.

... Well, that sounds great. I DID download a lot of tools, so I'd rather do something with them.

On to converting my saves from ps2 phisical memory cards :/
