Hey, so I have a question that I'm not able to test myself yet.

I have a WPA protected connection, which the regular DS/ does not support. This makes it so that I can't go online on my regular DS.

I do have a 3DS however, which does accept WPA. I know that a regular DS game, such as Mario Kart would use the DS settings even if it's on a 3DS (Since it's an older game, it isn't an "enhanced" game), and I wouldn't be able to go online regardless.

But with enhanced games, like Pokemon Black/White you are able to go online even with WPA thanks to them recognizing the system it's playing on. My question is, if the game is being emulated in a Supercard 2/Acekard on a 3DS, will it allow me to use the "enhanced features" by recognizing the 3DS and therefor being able to use my WPA connection?

If anyone is willing to try in you WPA connection:

Have a game like Pokemon Black (1 or 2), and try testing connection on a Flashcart inserted on a 3DS.

Thanks anyway

No, only one flash cart works in DSi-mode, the CycloDS iEvolution, but it's unsupported and WiFi does not work in DSi-mode on it due to a bug.

If you need to connect directly to a WPA access point, you cannot use a flash cart.

EDIT: To clarify, all the other flash carts, including the DSTwo, works in DS-mode, which means the games they run act as if they're in a DS, period, always, no matter the system.

You can also use softap and turn your windows computer's wireless card into a router. (It still doubles as a wireless card)

(Or a hosted network on linux machines)
Fuck macs though. No idea what to do with them.

You could always use backpack and use someone else's wep connection if there's one in range. Of course I nether recommend or condone that sort of behavior. I simply open my wifi when I want to get on line with my ds or dsi
