I haven't seen a code dump yet which is great but would like to run the emulators/plugins since that what seemed to cause the problems the last time.
No problem with plugins here, here is r554:
http://www.mediafire...9ej1xj8lvkx1ce6
edit:
Hm r554 is buggy sorry about that, r556 should work better:
http://www.mediafire...khhl227zkezu3uo

I didn't have many problems with r554 - other than with Dodge Racing - Chargers vs Challenger (RIXP7J) and Mario Super Sluggers (RMBE01). With Dodge Racing the tv said it was an unsupported video mode when I had it set to system default but when I changed it to game it came up fine as a 576i screen. Mario SS black screened about 2/3rds of the time when I had the display setting set to system default. I tried it with r557 and am having the same problem with it. However when I changed it to Game it didn't hang anymore. What is the difference between Game and System Default again?

I ran through a small drive I have with about 50 games and other than these 2 fixable problems the games ran fine. I will test it on my 2TB system with all the games (regular and emu) and let you know what I see. Hopefully I will be able to get to my emu games now.

Edit - just played a few more games on my larger system with r557.

Having the sae video problem where I have to set it to Game display for New Super Mario Bros Wii - The Other P (SMPP01).

Also had to change New Super Mario Bros Wii (SMNE01) to NTSC since it blackscreened. Never had that happen before.

New Super Mario Bros Wii Retro Remix (MRRP01) also had to be set to NTSC.

Tested a few others and getting similar problems. Did something change in how you handle video? Getting a ton of black screens that I have to force to NTSC or Game to display.

Thanks!

Edit 2: Went back to r522 and I can get all the games to play (except for Dodge Racing where I have to set it to Game) with the default video set to System Default so I think something got messed up on the video side of things.
Fix - Just tested r563 and am still having the video problems. r522 runs almost all the games fine with the default setting at System default but r563 and earlier versions requires you to set some games to NTSC, some to Game etc. Any idea where this got fouled up? r522 was handling video great.

Also the bug where if you set a parental code you can't exit is still there.

And trying to access the plugins/emulator coverflow exits to the System Menu (or HBC if I ran from there). This works perfectly in r522 on the same disk with the same config files.

And the bug where you can't disable NAND display when you click the lists icon is still there. I want to be able to switch from regular Wii game coverflow to plugins coverflow without having to see homebrew and NAND apps. I can disable homebrew apps but the disable for NAND isn't working.

Are the a new set of files I could try for plugins access? I see you updated plugins in r563 but I don't see a download link for mod11 yet.

Also did the b button on home immediate exit get removed? It isn't working for me in r563.

Thanks!

Pretty much everything you listed there is because of that FUCKING MEMORY CORRUPTION we have because of the bigger wiiflow.

Just that you guys can read the game settings again I now set down the banner brightness in game settings, now stop whining about :P
Jul-09-2012-22h14m15s.jpg

Ok ,it's maybe fine to see banners in games settings ,but only with default theme !! With other themes ,this doesn't match well.
Personnaly ,I think it's not really beautiful ,not really aesthetic ,to see the banner here ,just in game selection is enough.
So ,something can be done for this? Maybe add an option to hidden banners in game settings.

Jiiwah ,the man who bawl all the time ^^

edit: thx fix94 for 565 ,that's works fine.
so ,for info to everybody ,to hidden banners in games settings ,you need to set "no" to the line "banner_in_settings=" under [GENERAL] in wiiflow.ini

Yeah, just settings. You name the covers the right way and put them in the right place and they show up.

Pretty much everything you listed there is because of that FUCKING MEMORY CORRUPTION we have because of the bigger wiiflow.
I don't know anything about the Wii's system architecture but when I have worked with embedded systems in the past that had little memory we devised a scheme to modularize the code such that a controller component stays in memory the entire time and when a functional area is requested it is loaded from disk/rom/etc at a particular section of memory and executed from there. Then you just need to be concerned about the module not exceeding memory limits.

Not sure if something like that could be implemented here but I thought I would throw it out for thoughts. For those worried about lag time in loading from disk/SD - even a large block of data moves pretty quickly and I would rather have more functionality that takes a fraction of a second longer to load then less features/more crashes.

If you split out the settings/categories and other screens that can't be displayed at the same time and swap them in and out as requested that may give enough memory back to the main coverflow which is I think what most people like WiiFlow for.

If you have any questions on this please feel free to PM me. Thanks!

May you guys can test r568:
http://www.mediafire...d61kg0qw1bpcqqb
I know its maybe strange the dol is 700kb bigger but that gives us better debugging and better speed, so I'm sure you can deal with it :P
Cool, thanks. I will be home in about an hour and will test it out.

Edit:

Just started playing with r568 and it still exits to the system menu or HBC if you try and run a plugin. And the video on games still needs to be set which is different from r522. It is going to be tough and test out all of my games to see which video setting works... is there a way to revert back to how r522 handled video?

Setting a parental code no longer eliminates the ability to exit WiiFlow but it hung/blackscreened the first time I tried to exit after setting the parental code. I clicked the home icon and selected Exit to. It worked fine when I pressed home on the Wiimote 2x. It doesn't seem to be doing it anymore when clicking the home icon so that must have been a glitch.

Clicking on the lists icon still shows the NAND coverflow, even if it is set to disable. Clicking again on the lists icon dumps me out to the system menu/HBC.

And clicking B on the home icon doesn't immediately exit.

568 is playing nicely with me :) thank you for the update :)

EDIT: after reloading caches on everything it works superbly, GC banner animations look wkd too :) only HBC doesn't play sound with its channel animation. Odd.

I tried removing all but 1 of the coverflows in my wiiflow/themes/default.ini file - well I left 1 and 1_S and the video seems to run okay now set to System Default.

I am still getting a blackscreen hang when I exit Wiiflow. Emulators/plugins all seem to run fine and exit back to WiIFlow.

Is there a max number on the theme coverflows I should have in the default.ini?

What is the _s for in each coverflow section?

Actually, just ADDING that button (possibly as well as the other buttons like the parental, delete and favorites) would be useful as not to have to switch back and forth just to use them.
just the settings icon in the middle or all of them in a line underneath or above the other two or even in the corners. Lots of options and, I think, lots of space for them.

Thanks for reply... is just an idea.. not to adding 3 or more buttons, just change the back button with the setting button... and display setting and play... just a suggestion...

Regards..

r571 for you:
http://www.mediafire...27qo5g88ayf7box
If its not stable for some people, use the default wiiflow.ini and settings, there is a reason why I decided which default ones to use and you'll see how well it works then. Currently it just makes problems to use other options, and no I got no idea why so stop telling me something doesnt work, thanks for testing, hopefully I'll hear more positive results like in r568.

Thanks fix. Do you know if it's safe to increase anti-aliasing from the default 3? I usually set mine to 5 so the displays look better.

That doesnt matter so its safe, since it just sets the passes how often things are rendered.
Great, thanks.

Should I be limiting the number of coverflows in my themes\default.ini? My current one is over 4000 lines and 128K... has between 8-10 coverflows for each mode (emu/Wii/NAND etc).

noticed you swapped the PLAY and BACK on the full banner view, nice stuff. I did notice if you don't delete your themes/default.ini, it'll still be backwards due to the settings already written to it from the previous rev :)
