Hacking Autoboot Chip feature on D3-2 or D4 ?

Hi!
I'm already here with my question. :lol:
I need a confirmation (or refutation) about one thing.

Example.. a Wii with:
- D3-2 or D4 drive
- No Patched system menù IOS
- Firmware 4.3E
- BannerBrick

the question IS.. if I
- use the SSBB DVD PAL (original of course)
- set a chip (like wasabiDX or drivekey) to autoboot on a working Wii...
- ....then I mount the chip on the bricked Wii.

Can I start SSBB for use the exploit?
I thinks the autoboot feature of the chip works also with this (fuc**ng) drive.

If that solution is not good (please tell me why), i thing that the only thing to do is to mount also a drive who read backup dvd (and full compatible with the chip).

autoboot works with every fuc**ng drive. all it does it patch the first byte of the game. the system menu is what sees that byte and decides it wants to autoboot the game.

Most newer firmware on chips will not patch ssbb usa or jap to autoboot do to those titles not autobooting. I am not sure if they don't autoboot all ssbb or if they are smart enough to enable autoboot on pal/kor. It may or may not patch the original ssbb-pal to autoboot. But you can make iso and patch it and burn.
